Don’t recall that she was invited back. * Hubby is Austrian so she lives there.

    Ahem! Some of us were around when her parents were competing. Greenland is not an Olympic nation, though - they had to compete for Denmark.

    In flying you can be in the air for anything up to five seconds, so it’s a lot more difficult to hold an aerodynamic posture. Also crazy dangerous, there’s an unofficial minimum age requirement, so only experienced jumpers get entered.

    The good news - or at least the delayed bad news - is that the World Indoor Tour goes ahead, with Karslruhe January 29th as the first major Gold Standard event.

    I notice on the FIS site that there are now training runs scheduled for Thu & Fri, so I guess rescheduling.

    Story I’ve heard on a British board is that Sam Atkin was only in the race as a pacemaker for 5000m, but once he’d done his job he didn’t step off, slotted into the pack and got round in a QT! Also in the UK all-time top 10.

    Perhaps the idea is there are at least 2 semis (each 90 mins)semis & then a final. So like three football matches in one day? I’m guessing less than 36 competitors as well.
