  1. Srihari Nataraj and Dhinidhi Desinghu shall compete in Swimming under Universality https://x.com/swimmingfedera1/status/1805822218993385502
  2. 1 1 - Women's Hockey team 2 - Bhavani Devi 3 - Deepak Punia 2 1 - Squash 2 - Roller skating 3 - Badminton mixed team (similar to Judo mixed team) 4 - Table Tennis mixed team (similar to above)
  3. So I believe men's team has virtually qualified. The women's team and are in the next qualifying spots The current standings are 1 - 185 pts 2 - 179.5 pts 3 - 152 pts 4 - 150 pts 5 - 139 pts 6 - 139 pts 7 - 137.5 pts For the women's team not to qualify, the following must happen 1 - shouldn't finish in top 4 so they don't add any points 2 - to finish minimum 4th. If they finish 4th they add 12 points and then overtake India 3 - to finish minimum 2nd. If they finish 2nd they add 34 points and then overtake India 4 - Either of to win World Cup. If this happens adds 44 pts, adds 52 pts, adds 54.5 pts and then overtake India 5 - to win World Cup. If they win they add 46 points and then tie with India So the safest way to qualify, is for the women's team to minimum reach the semis
  4. The men's team is virtually qualified. In women's team rankings and occupy the top two spots. For not getting the spot, following scenarios need to happen in World Cup needs minimum 4th needs silver need gold
  5. If ICC truly wants to expand the game, they can do the following 1) Include nearby associate nations in minimum T20 tournaments in bilateral tours. Better if 1-2 games can be hosted by the associate nation. For example, let's say India is touring England for T20, ODI and Test series let there be a T20 with Scotland, Netherlands, England, Ireland, India. Similarly, any team touring the subcontinent can have Nepal, Malaysia and Hong Kong 2) Include atleast 1 player from a pool of top associate nations in teams of top franchise leagues like IPL, BBL, PSL. This player should play 30% of league games. For example, in IPL teams play 14 league games, so an associate nation player must play 4 games. This will improve exposure of associate players
  6. From India's perspective this is good news. New Zealand and Sri Lanka were to be in India's group if they had qualified. These are the only two teams India has never defeated in T20 World Cups
  7. Hi, is the list of qualified players listed by ITA anywhere
  8. Rohan Bopanna has already chosen Sriram Balaji as he feels Balaji is decent on clay. Rohan Bopanna-Matthew Ebden pair faced Balaji-Angel in third round of French Open and the match went till 3 sets https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/sports/tennis/top-stories/rohan-bopanna-chooses-n-sriram-balaji-as-partner-for-paris-olympics/articleshow/110704806.cms

  11. It could be 1- Host Nation 2- Americas (Based on CPL 2023) 3- Europe 4- Africa 5- Asia 6- East Pacific World The Europe and Africa zone can be combined for competitiveness and 1 country to qualify and 3 from World tournament
  12. I really hope for Cricket's survival and popularity that it grows in the US. In my opinion if Cricket has to grow it has to be popular in advanced economies like Western Europe, Mainland North America and Eastern Asia. I wish for an 8 team tournament in the 2028 Olympics instead of the rumoured 6 where we have the host nation and one each for the 5 ICC zones - Americas, Africa, Asia, Europe and East-Pacific. I believe none of the Caribbean countries rarely qualify in team events. Imagine a huge contingent boost for countries like Jamaica, Barbados or Guyana
  13. Ahh the 90s kid mindset that every second match is fixed!!
  14. Only one guy Steven Taylor is a home-grown cricketer born to Jamaican parents. He represented USA in 2010 U-19 World Cup.

  18. Direct quotas can't be assigned, nor will he/she qualify for final. However the shooter will earn ranking points and thus can earn quota via Ranking
  19. Sachin Siwach wins his first bout in Round of 64 in Men's 57 kg against https://x.com/BFI_official/status/1793987606004568081?ref_src=twsrc^google|twcamp^serp|twgr^tweet
