  1. Is anyone aware of how one can earn quota in Sailing via 'Emerging Nations Program'. The qualification document says highest ranked among the Emerging Nations shall qualify, so Nethra Kumanan should qualify via that route
  2. Not in favour of reallocation to skeet events if we can't qualify, let our best shooters go to Paris. There is enough chances for shooters to qualify especially from Asia and Europe, if our shotgun shooters can't qualify directly it means they aren't good enough
  3. What happened to Javed Faroughi, he still couldn't qualify yet
  4. Varun Tomar secures quota in Men's 10 Air Pistol. So its 31st quota and contingent size is 46 in 7 sports. Also 14th quota in Shooting and 2 quotas in Men's 10 Air Pistol
  5. Hi @dcro, can you comment on this https://inside.fei.org/media-updates/fei-publishes-olympic-and-paralympic-rankings-paris-2024
  6. Apparently Anush Agarwalla has qualified in Dressage as being top rider in Overall Rankings. He has to maintain MER till June 2024 to confirm qualification. So its 30th Quota place and contingent size is 45 in 7 sports. Unfortunately, Fouaad Mirza missed out as there were two Chinese above him in Eventing Group G rankings and upto 2 individuals per country can qualify in Eventing
  7. Mirza won't get the quota as there are two Chinese above him, in eventing a country can get two individual quotas

  10. Indian shooters do extremely well in junior level but fall short in senior level especially in high level tournaments like World Championships and Olympics. Its partly due to pressure due to huge expectations and improper selection policy. Winning quotas isn't an issue, 13 quotas have been secured already; only China and United States have more. Our shooting federation has changed the selection policy and coaches and hopefully they will select the right squad
  11. Actually 15 November is very co-incidental in career of Sachin Tendulkar. Sachin Tendulkar made his international debut on 15th November 1989 as 16 year old against Pakistan in Karachi. Sachin Tendulkar would play his last innings on 15th November 2013 against West Indies at Mumbai. This Test match although had started on 14th but it got over within 3 days only and India played just 1 inning.
  12. Our qualification campaign to 2026 FIFA World Cup starts today against Kuwait at 10pm today
  13. always depended on wildcards for qualification but Siddikur Rahman became the first Bangladeshi to qualify when he was within 60 golfers in 2016. Ruman Shana qualified in archery in 2020. They could participate in mixed event as Diya Siddique was given invitation.
  14. vs will be interesting as rain is forecasted in Bangalore. Already its overcast in the morning with thick grey clouds
  15. He equalled the most number of centuries in ODI which is 49. He is joint top with batting great Sachin Tendulkar
  16. No separate ranking round but the elimination round shall be different
  17. Sarabjot Singh earns quota in 10m Air Pistol https://results.sius.com/ShootEvent.aspx?Championship=9d7fec75-737e-4ae5-81f9-63de00db1d3d&ShootEvent=APM
  18. Huge boost for women's hockey qualification as Olympic qualifier moved from China to India https://www.fih.hockey/news/paris-2024-india-to-host-fih-hockey-olympic-qualifier
  19. India to host Hockey qualifier as China qualified winner of Asian Games https://www.fih.hockey/news/paris-2024-india-to-host-fih-hockey-olympic-qualifier
  20. Talha Talib has been banned by IWF for doping. Dastagir Butt was caught in midst in fighting between two factions who claim to be rightful weightlifting federation and thus he couldn't represent Pakistan in international tournaments including Asian Games. Shah Hussain Shah is injured and is reluctant to play in any tournaments anymore and their second judoka Qaiser Afridi is now settled in UK. Their most decorated wrestler Inam Butt now mainly competes in Beach wrestling. But what baffles me is that 12 Pakistani athletes had got scholarship from Olympics, so why aren't they improving
