  1. Only 22 golds away from our NOC's target, which is quite reachable at this point As for next year PanAmerican Games, I think Mexico's chances will be the same: between 20-24 golds and over 80 medls in total... sadly some events in which we swept the podium (like swimming, squash, cycling and taekwondo) are not going to be able to produce the same results as here.
  2. And Jamaica's Caitlin Chang gets a silver
  3. Oh Ruth There goes the gold medal in women's individual all around
  4. Mexico lost to Antigua & Barbuda in men's doubles first round Congrats to the winning team
  5. Currently streaming BMX finals in women. Final results will be decided in 3 races. Currently, Stephanie Hernandez in third place, after crashing in the second one.
  6. Also in 3x3 matches were rescheduled... glad to see they managed to reschedule the Colombia v. Dominican Republic match
  7. Today's last match in men's handball between Colombia and the Dominican Republic has apparently been cancelled. Either the Dominicans didn't show in the end, or they couldn't arrive on time, just like Puerto Rico's 3x3 yesterday
  8. article Here it only talks about the men's squad, but I could bet some of the women players also missed their last match.
  9. I wonder if these hockey teams will defect en masse like they did in Toronto.
  10. Men's Field Hockey +16 +16 +16 +16 +16
  11. Mexico beat Trinidad in penalty shots 4-2, 5-3 in total... sorry for Brazil, but the fault is all Cuba's
  12. Sorry, my mistake.
  13. Women's Field Hockey +16 +16 +16 +16 +16
  14. Tashaina Seraus of Aruba will obtain the second gold medal of the games for her NOC, in women's individual event of bowling. With one game to play, she's only 34 points behind the player currently in first (who has already finished) and has a 114 point adavantage over her nearest challenger.
  15. Bronze for Alain Girard in men's 50m Rifle Prone
  16. Gold and Games record in men's 50m freestyle for Renzo Tjon A Joe of Suriname
  17. Wow, a .04 difference between gold and silver in women's 50m freestyle, with Colombia prevailing over Mexico, and Jamaica's Atkinson adding another medal to her personal tally.
  18. Qualifiers in women's handball for 2019 Pan American Games: Qualified to Repechage tournament:
  19. Very cruel indeed, as they had been improving in the last 2-3 years.
  20. I agree with you, but he's still very good in 50m & 100m freestyle.
  21. I know, forgot to comment on that awful result. Right now, things are looking good for Costa Rican team, as Mexico is also not in top form, so they might end winning the competition.
  22. Amazing day for Mexico in track cycling, capturing 4/4 of golds in contention, plus an additional bronze Plus yesterday's title in men's team pursuit, gaves us more medals than in the last 3 CAC Games combined
  23. Amazing competition for Trinidad's Dylan Carter, with his third gold and record of the Games in swimming He's worth watching in the road to Tokyo 2020.
  24. Historic 3-0 victory of Trinidad & Tobago over Cuba in women's volleyball Cuba will be relegated to play for 7th place against Costa Rica.
  25. So far, few surprises in the games, the exception being Aruba winning a medal in swimming. They also have secured the gold in men's windsurfer, plus they also have a chance to medal in women's bowling. Mexico's doing just enough to obtain a fair advantage before the second week starts, but diving and taekwondo teams have failed to earn the medals we were expecting, so it's going to be a very exciting last days, when Cuba shall rise thanks to athletics, canoeing, boxing, judo & wrestling. Colombia will need to nail every chance they have now if they want to challenge the Cuban and Mexican delegations for the top spot.
