  1. No, just the random camera shot to the scoreboard. Canada has had a terrible time in pommel horse
  2. Awful start for the Mexican men, scoring only 35-36 in vault Edit: sorry that score was for bars... so they manage to better their CAC score.
  3. Well, probably is not the choice of venue, but rather lack of funding for those federations, as some of them recently competed in CAC Games, so probably not enough money to support them in Canada.
  4. If I'm interpreting the rules correctly, the maximum total athletes is 16... that means that you can't get maximum number of competitors in each discipline... for example if you qualify 3 in men's & women's canoe, and 6 in men's kayak, you could only have 4 women in kayak; likewise, if you've already qualified 5 women in kayak, then you can only qualify 5 men in that boat discipline. The only other restriction is that if a NOC doesn't have entries in women's canoe, max number of athletes is 13; currently, that's is the case for Argentina. In the end, I think that iPanam Canoe Confederation will manage to give additional quotas to some NOC's, as there have been events in which current rules have left open spaces.
  5. Any predictions based on the entry lists? I think Mexico is in danger of not qualifying a full team, especially in the men's side.
  6. As for the hosts, an acceptable competition, earning top 8 finish in every event except men's relay, so I can say, well done Mexico
  7. Great results for Italian and Bulgarian girls. Also proud of Mexico's Ruth Galindo, who despite having a bad ribbon routine, still finished in 31st place and as 4th reserve, despite being the oldest gymnast in competition. Let's see what our group can earn tomorrow in the All Around.
  8. Absolute failure by El Geziry, from 1st to 27th, probably the worst ever performance in a laser-run phase. Great run by Hamed, hoped he could place better, but he could have a bright future
  9. Live Results
  10. This will also mean that Belize and Jamaica will debut in Jamaica. I made a quick count of entries and, according to qualification criteria, almost every athlete competing here is qualified for the Games. Sadly, Peru didn't show, so they have lost the possibility to compete in their own games.
  11. Well, it will all depend if the Dominican Republic is counted as a team... they have 3 competitors, so according to current rules, if every gymnast competes, then they're team 13.
  12. Actually two NOC's wont qualify in women's competition.
  13. Here’s the Link to the schedule posted by the Mexican fed
  14. Not yet, but probably the Colombian Skating Federation will upload them at their page. I watched the live streaming of the competition at the fed's facebook page, and then paused it when they showed the scoreboard.
  15. That's correct. More quotas. Artistic Roller Skating +2 +2 +2 +2 +1 +1 +1 +1 +2
  16. Probably not, as they could have a favorable draw an have a chance to advance to semifinals; this what happens when the host gets free quotas, when they are only competitive in a handful of sports.
  17. Men's Handball +14 Women's Handball +14 Canada advances to Qualification tournament in both genders; in the men's side the fight will be between them and the Chileans, while in the women's it will be a though call between those two and Mexico. In more qualification events, this weekend spots in Artistic Roller Skating (7 in each gender, one per NOC) and Trampoline Gymnastics (11 spots, max 2 spots by NOC in men's and women's) will be contested. Next week, qualifications in sprint canoe (top 5 boats in each event) and artistic gymnastics.
  18. Jr and Youth? Too much for me, but I support the idea of a competition for teen aged athletes.
  19. Except for "Suadero", each and every one is the best, depending on your mood and personal taste. I would personally suggest you try "Pozole" (a broth made of pork and maize, many regional styles), "Tacos al Pastor" (seasoned pork slowly grilled like kebabs) "Enchiladas" (a tortilla filled with cheese & onion or chicken, dipped in sauce and slightly fried) and "Tamales Oaxaqueños" (pork or chicken seasoned in sauce, wrapped in corn "dough", which is wrapped in banana leafs and steamed) Forgot to add: "Tortas Ahogadas" is the traditional dish of my city, as the bread can only be made in Guadalajara due to a combination of the city's climate and the particular yeasts used to make the bread, which is filled with fried pork meat, and then drenched (that's why they're called ahogadas, which means drowned) in tomate sauce and hot pepper sauce.
  20. Glad for Mexico, but also quite unfair either one of those teams will miss PanAm's.
  21. Livestream at Playsports Mexico FB page.
  22. Not really sure, as the qualification document is very vague and only list a number of quotas for this Championships. I guess at least the winner of each event secures a quota
  23. That and the fact he raced at the Aguascalientes track
  24. New WR in men's individual pursuit, by Ashton Lambie with a time of 4:07.251
