Josh reacted to Makedonas in Tennis ITF Wimbledon 2023
The British Wimbledon crowd was completely ignorant and rude with their treatment of Azarenka. I thought these people were supposed to know about tennis. Are they that oblivious?
This is why Sabalenka waited at the net in Paris for Svitolina. I don't think anyone should be booed in these sensitive situations, but definitely not the players who actually want to shake hands!

Elina Svitolina vs Marketa Vondrousova is the first women SF. Whomever comes out of the bottom half will be a favorite in the final.
Moreover Aryna Sabalenka can become the new #1 if she wins the whole tournament.

For me Whether Ons or Sabalenka is a perfect outcome for me , I have much sympathy with Ons tbh , after being runner-up twice and also for Sabalenka whom was banned from participating in last wimbeldon just because GB hates to have some natural athletes from Russia or Belarus on its home soil , I won't be sad also if Svitolina wins it , I used to be a fan of her before pregnancy maybe cuz she's cute , but after refusing to shake hands with other athletes I lost some respect for her. Yet she also deserves to be a GS Champion after many years of trying and especially after returning from nowhere point with months of absence cuz of pregnancy

So whilst rounders isn't on the Olympic program for Paris, it is virtually certain to be back in for LA in 2028 - bye-bye breaking!! - and this could actually be one of the few team sports where secure a quota having come so close to getting to Tokyo.
In the first round of matches at the World Cup Group A, , ranked 16th in the world defeated world number 9 2-0 for the only upset in the first round of matches.
In other matches in the group, were 5-0 winners against and won 7-0 against

I think are about to put major dent in the hopes of to make next year's finals. They win 2-0 to inflict a second defeat of the group on
are world number 3 so this would be a big upset.

Yes, I think the German federation is very lucky to have him. Without him the German federation also wouldn’t have been able to hire Lisa Thomaidis for the women’s team (it was him who made her aware of the job opening), which very likely would have meant no qualification for the OQT. In general Germany should hire more foreign coaches, especially in sports where German coaches have proven again and again that they don’t know how to coach athletes to compete at world level. For example Germany used to be elite in pole vault and shot put, but nowadays German coaches have no clue how to develop world class athletes in those disciplines. Herbert did a great job at the Euros last year, hopefully he will be able to again coach the team to the same level at Worlds this year. On paper the team (so far … ) is certainly better than it was last year (addition of Kleber/Bonga/M. Wagner + F. Wagner being one year older). Germany is missing athletic wings (like pretty much all other nations except the US/Canada) and maybe one more elite ball-handler (of course having a more physical big like Hartenstein also would have helped). I think the roster justifies considering Germany at least a top 8 team (behind the US, Canada, Australia, Spain, France, Serbia and maybe Greece). The US and Canada are obviously better on paper if they play at full strength, but in my opinion all the other teams I mentioned aren’t lightyears ahead of Germany in terms of individual quality.

Was expecting more qualifying times in W TJ/W LJ/M LJ, and by Adele Tracey in W 800m. Kimberly Williams didn't compete here, which is surprising, would have most likely reached the Olympic standard.

I'll be happy if we come out with two golds from here with Alekna and Karinauskaitė.
A 400m final for Keršulis.
And a good PB for Vaitaitytė in Heptathlon.
Lukrecija Sabaitytė could do okay in 200m and perhaps increase her slim chances to qualify to the European Championships in 2024.
Other than that, highly disappointed that we're sending only 8 athletes. Our race walker that was qualified is nowhere to be seen, two athletes qualified days after the qualification was closed. Our talented javelin thrower quit the sport and other three candidates didn't recover from injuries all season.
This 8 people team could've easily been 16 at least, but a really bad season for our u23ers.

This weekend, Chamonix hosted the 2nd leg of the Lead World Cup
Lead Men
1. Toby Roberts
2. Sam Avezou
3. Sorato Ankaru
Lead Women
1. Jain Kim
2. Nonoha Kume
3. Helene Janicot
Speed Men
1. Rahmad Adi Mulyono
2. Rishad Khaibullin
3. Raharjati Nursamsa
Speed Women
1. Jajiah Sallsabillah
2. Victoire Andrier
3. Nural Iqamah
That's Toby Roberts' second gold medal of the season having taken gold at the boulder event in Brixen. He also finished 4th in the lead event in Villars so with the World Championships coming up in a couple of weeks, could have outside prospect of sneaking an early quota from genuine medal contender for Paris.

Josh reacted to Rafa Maciel in Diving at the Aquatics WA World Championships 2023
Entry lists now available on FINA website. Surprised that Jack Laugher is not down for the individual 3m Springboard - he's only competing in the synchro event.
Had high hopes of wrapping up the majority of our diving quotas this year but actually not sure that we've sent the most experienced international competitors to Fukuoka.

Germany has the easiest group of all the UEFA teams by miles but they will have to play either Brazil or France in R16 already and most likely England in QF so the easy group comes with a price anyway.
