  1. Best mark of 19.62m for Sarah Mitton in women’s shot put after the 5th round. Solid, but not anything out of the ordinary for her.
  2. Semifinals v. v. Expected semifinal teams, some things did surprise me though. Mainly Italy’s youth team going toe to toe with France, only losing in 5.
  3. 1:43.53 for Arop in the men’s 800m semifinals New SB!
  4. Also, anyone know why Malachi Murray DNS in the men’s 100m heats? Maybe a warm up injury?
  5. Could she be selected for the relay, potentially?
  6. Konrad the big one, but when you have so many talented 400m runners you’re bound to get some semi notable names missing the final.
  7. How? Ludwig/Lippmann and Alvarez/Moreno have both made it very far in Elite16’s this year (quarterfinals in Doha for the Germans, and semifinals in Espinho for the Spaniards), and Placette/Richard aren’t half bad either. They’ll also be very motivated to perform well in front of their home audience. Also it’s Brunner, not Brünner
  8. In Pool A and D, top 3 should go through. Pool B, it’s a tossup for 2nd, Kloth/Nuss should have no problem advancing. Pool C and D, it’s likely between Chamereau/Viera and Hermanova/Stochlova, and Paulikiene/Raupelyte and Akiko/Ishii for 3rd. The most even pool by far is Pool F, any of those teams can win the group. I’d be surprised if Huberli/Brunner don’t advance though.
  9. Eric Peters and Virginie Chenier have officially been nominated to Canada’s Olympic team in archery.
  10. Regular season schedule coming out on Tuesday.
  11. You’re late, I already posted about it in the other thread Petterson and Dahlin will probably be on the roster, remember it’s only the first 6 being announced.

  14. NHL Awards Ted Lindsay Award: Nathan MacKinnon Calder Trophy: Connor Bedard Norris Trophy: Quinn Hughes Vezina Trophy: Connor Hellybuyck Hart Trophy: Nathan MacKinnon
  15. Would be such a shame if he misses out. He was only .07 off getting the standard a couple of months ago, and in a 5000m that’s really small.
  16. As expected, Gleadle fails to qualify in women’s javelin throw. Had hopes for her with her recent 61m+ throw, but of course not.
  17. Something about this track… don’t think we’ll see a single solid time all week long
  18. Mediocre women’s 3000m steeplechase final. McCabe 9:32.92, Yee 9:42.07, and Fetherstonhaugh 9:43.13. Yee should qualify for the Olympics through the Road to Paris rankings.
  19. He will probably pair up with Dabrowski for mixed doubles. Probably doing triple duty.
  20. I haven’t watched any of their matches besides the one against (Canada), but judging by their 6-6 record, wouldn’t you say they’re in bad form? (and we’re only a month out from the Olympics) Of course like I said earlier, records aren’t always a good indicator of how well a team is playing… Actually, Brazil is playing quite well today, but maybe that’s because they’ve made a whole of improvements since then.
  21. Also, Malaika Mihambo contracted COVID after the European Championships, and will be absent at the German Championships (still expected to be at the Olympics)
