  2. Other than breaking, which I’ll probably only be watching during the medal rounds (but I might decide to skip it entirely), artistic swimming, golf, rhythmic gymnastics, and equestrian (dressage and eventing at least) Some events/sports I’ll only be watching the closing stages of, like modern pentathlon (shooting and laser run), and the end of the road race.
  3. Buddy Hield to the Golden State Warriors. https://www.instagram.com/p/C9ArFcdxIox/?igsh=MXc3eHFtd3J2Z3VxYw==
  4. defeating wasn’t that much of an upset to me IMO. See, I don’t really understand this logic. Teams play to win, not to lose. As a competitive athlete myself, that’s the way your mind works. Unless you’re one of the teams that were involved in the badminton fiasco at London 2012, and maybe there’s a few other cases too, but that’s besides the point. If Brazil had rested their best players for part of the game, it would make sense.
  5. @Fly_like_a_don events or sports? Because a lot of users are listing 5 sports, when it says events
  6. I’ll be watching pretty much everything, so that’s 14 hours most days. Sleep schedule will be completely screwed, with events happening from 12:00AM to 2:00PM (PST) but there’s nothing I can do about it so I’ll have to deal with it (edit: @heywoodu gave me a good idea to wake up an hour earlier to get schedules/snacks/meals ready) First few days is exception though, I’ll be skipping some of some of the surfing heats (since the Olympics is 24/7 for the first few days, I’ll use at least part of this time to sleep), but I’ll most likely be watching the semifinals and medal matches (maybe even the quarterfinals) Actually, no breaking for me (unsurprisingly) My 5 events that I’m most looking forward to (really hard to choose) Beach Volleyball - Women’s Tournament Volleyball - Men’s Tournament (and not the women’s tournament ) 3x3 Basketball - Women’s Tournament Athletics - Men’s Decathlon Swimming - Men’s 100m Butterfly
  7. Women’s waterpolo team announced. https://www.instagram.com/p/C9AXeVERT4o/?igsh=eTBscHVuemlyOTg1
  8. Kate Miller has received a reallocated quota to compete individually in women’s 10m platform!

  11. 3 weeks to go! Surprised the OBS intro hasn’t been leaked by now.
  12. Penny Oleksiak gets her spot in the women’s 100m freestyle through OCT!
  13. Ethan Katzberg’s next meet has been announced. Gyulai Istvan Memorial on July 9.
  14. There’s a couple of things that I picked up on from the article. 1. McIntosh likely won’t be competing in either of the 4x100m freestyle relay or the 4x100m medley relay. OK, the 4x100m freestyle relay is possible, but there’s not much of a gap between her and the other four women (MSH, Oleksiak, MacNeil, Ruck) and the coaches would be dumb to wear her out even more for her individual events and the 4x200m freestyle relay. 2. They say LePage is injured and might not be at his best, which sort of makes sense, but why would he put that meme on the last slide of his recent Instagram post then?
  15. Gracenote projection now has us finishing with 6 golds and 20 total medals now Ridiculous. They have Katzberg winning silver though so I can’t really take them seriously.
  16. Let’s go (yes I know all of them can’t qualify…)
  17. I don’t get why you think that. The only way she’s losing is if she gets DQ’d.
  18. No, she already said that swim at the Aussie Olympic Trials was a one and done. Technically 7.5 seconds if you’re judging off PB’s, but yeah it won’t be close.
  19. Asemota will take Brown’s spot in the individual men’s 100m.
