  1. Athletics team announced! https://athletics.ca/blog/2024/07/02/team-canadas-paris-2024-athletics-team-unveiled/ No Jorai
  2. … I love you buddy but chill out on the fat shaming. Not cool.
  3. Fractured tibia and is expected to be out 4-6 months.
  4. Phenomenal save from the goalie at the end
  5. Diamond League action is back this week! On July 7, the Paris Diamond League (entries still TBD), and on July 12, the Monaco Diamond League! At the Monaco Diamond League, we have the long awaited debut of Christopher Morales-Williams, who’ll be competing the men’s 400m, Marco Arop in the men’s 800m (very intriguing head to head with Wanyonyi), Alysha Newman in women’s pole vault, and Lucia Stafford in the women’s 2000m. Some events only have 6 athletes entered (women’s 100m and men’s 200m in terms of Canadian potential), so while I believe most of the entry list has been announced, I don’t think it’s all of it.
  6. team has been announced. https://www.instagram.com/p/C86oY-_Mp_7/?igsh=MjhiMWh2YzFnZjcw
  7. Same for Regan Yee. So that’s 5 away for Ankita. Edit: Yavi will probably also focus on the steeplechase. 4 now. Edit: Nuttall’s quota will get declined by Great Britain, and Warner-Judd is injured, so that’s 2.
  8. Ignore this I clearly don’t know what I’m talking about
  9. Jake DeBrusk to the Canucks. Yes, I’m aware I’m late, I was busy yesterday and didn’t have time to post it right away https://www.instagram.com/p/C84w_x7tZ29/?igsh=MXdqaXJzdGZmbHVyeA== @Topicmaster1010
  10. Also, the full schedule for the regular season is now out. https://www.nhl.com/news/nhl-announces-2024-25-regular-season-schedule
  11. NHL has announced some rule changes for the upcoming season. https://www.nhl.com/news/nhl-announces-rule-changes-for-next-season
  12. In tennis, nothing is a given, especially at the Olympics. Lots of upsets occur. She is the heavy favourite yeah, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see her not win gold (even with her three in a row at Roland Garros, the Olympic venue)
  13. Yep. For the 100/200m/400m (except CMW), I didn’t add any additional athletes to the total, only the maximum 5 relay athletes (so in total 15 between the 3 relays)
  14. Is there anywhere that I can watch this for free?
  15. Yeah I know, I was talking about the coach Would be really beneficial for as Scott is 3rd alternate and De-Bues Stafford is 9th alternate.
  16. So in total that’s 42 athletes, not including potential reallocations. Decent number for Canada, was hoping for more though.
  17. Madogo is 4th alternate in women’s 100m, Rynda 7th alternate in women’s 800m, Current 5th alternate in women’s 1500m, Scott 2nd alternate in women’s 5000m, De-Bues Stafford 8th alternate in women’s 5000m, Staehli 10th alternate in women’s 5000m (including Great Britain), Walker 7th alternate in women’s 400m hurdles, Fetherstonhaugh 7th alternate in women’s 3000m steeplechase, Tunks 4th alternate in women’s discus throw (including Great Britain), Butler 7th alternate in women’s hammer throw (including Great Britain), Gleadle 9th alternate in women’s javelin throw, Thorne 3rd alternate in men’s 110m hurdles. Realistically only Thorne, Scott, and maybe Current/Tunks have a chance at a quota although unlikely.
  18. Final Road to Paris is out. Here’s the athletes who have qualified. Jacqueline Madogo - Women’s 200m Adam Keenan - Men’s Hammer Throw Rowan Hamilton - Men’s Hammer Throw Simone Plourde - Women’s 1500m Regan Yee - Women’s 3000m Steeplechase Michelle Harrison - Women’s 100m Hurdles Anicka Newell - Women’s Pole Vault Aaron Brown (already qualified) - Men’s 100m Kieran Lumb - Men’s 1500m Jean-Simon Desgagnes - Men’s 3000m Steeplechase Thomas Fafard - Men’s 5000m
