Diamond League action is back this week! On July 7, the Paris Diamond League (entries still TBD), and on July 12, the Monaco Diamond League! At the Monaco Diamond League, we have the long awaited debut of Christopher Morales-Williams, who’ll be competing the men’s 400m, Marco Arop in the men’s 800m (very intriguing head to head with Wanyonyi), Alysha Newman in women’s pole vault, and Lucia Stafford in the women’s 2000m. Some events only have 6 athletes entered (women’s 100m and men’s 200m in terms of Canadian potential), so while I believe most of the entry list has been announced, I don’t think it’s all of it.

Madogo is 4th alternate in women’s 100m, Rynda 7th alternate in women’s 800m, Current 5th alternate in women’s 1500m, Scott 2nd alternate in women’s 5000m, De-Bues Stafford 8th alternate in women’s 5000m, Staehli 10th alternate in women’s 5000m (including Great Britain), Walker 7th alternate in women’s 400m hurdles, Fetherstonhaugh 7th alternate in women’s 3000m steeplechase, Tunks 4th alternate in women’s discus throw (including Great Britain), Butler 7th alternate in women’s hammer throw (including Great Britain), Gleadle 9th alternate in women’s javelin throw, Thorne 3rd alternate in men’s 110m hurdles. Realistically only Thorne, Scott, and maybe Current/Tunks have a chance at a quota although unlikely.
