Cheng Fangming gets a PB in 16th (previous was 22nd)
JTB is only 16 pts behind MF if we drop the two worst results.

Krcmar passed both Fourcade and Jacquelin on the last loop and finishes 4th!

Can't believe Mike and Pat from Eurosport have said (multiple times) that this is the greatest ever biathlon season.
Yeah, pure bullshit. OEB vs Poiree vs Fischer was a LOT better than this
-
Doherty's skiing must have really fallen off lately. He lost over 30 secs. to Cheng
-
Cheng 10/10!

Tomasz Sikora speculates Alexander Tikhonov's happy mouth in one of the TV interviews was behind the Loginov crackdown at the WCh
Well, they can't talk about Wierer's eye-lashes today so it is what it is.

Magdalena Rybarikova (tennis) will retire after the Fed Cup finals next month.

Yep, apparently the German went the wrong route on the last leg and Marcisz simply followed her by default even though she knew there was a new loop for the relay. Epic brain freeze that makes Stadlober look good

wins women's 4x3,3 km relay!
The job done by Alexander Veretelny & Justyna Kowalczyk sure comes to the fore. Marcisz won three individual medals so far.
It's sad that there are reports Veretelny might actually retire at the end of the season. He has said before he's basically retired for 7 years already If he goes, so will Kowalczyk and our senior cross country will go down the gutter again. We haven't done anything to cash in on Kowalczyk's success period anyway. It's basically this one coach who brought her to all these results and now she's doing the coaching for the youngsters. We're complete amateurs compared to Norway & co.

USA beat England 2-0 in She Believes Cup. Spain also beat Japan 3-1. It's curious to see Spain invited here, they gave USA the biggest test at the World Cup and could be on the verge of becoming a real force in women's football. They dominated the junior ranks for years but their senior team was always lacking the same quality. Probably not anymore.

Well, the Lithuanian women look the most alive that they've been all year.
If Natalija didn't mess up in the standing shoot, a PB was waiting for her, but she missed two and really a shame for that second one, because she took her time to miss the final target.
On the other hand, it is the second best career result for Gabrielė Leščinskaitė in 58th place. She has been really struggling since her junior days and she is slowly getting back to an upwards trajectory in her results.
I noticed Kocergina was "only" 27 secs behind Herrmann after the first shoot. If she shot 10/10 she'd probably finish around Todorova so a Top 20 result!

MIkaela Shiffrin has flown to Sweden yesterday. Comeback in Are looming

Warren drops out Now, it’s down to two old white guys that no one really feels all that enthusiastic about. I believe they’re both older than Trump, and the front runner has voted against more “Democratic” proposals than the guy who isn’t. It’s so embarrassing. A party who praises itself for forward thinking, diversity, and progression comes up with two old white dudes, and no matter which one wins, a good portion of the party will feel alienated.
If I’m on Trump’s Team, I’m really starting to like my odds in November. I think we’ll push Biden or Bernie across, but all the enthusiasm has evaporated from this race in the last week.
The more things change, the more they stay the same. Old white men dominate politics in the world

Yeah, this could be a result that won't count for Wierer's overall points.
Ivona Fialkova 4/10. Sigh. The WCh form is gone.
Milena Todorova 10/10 so the WCh form in still there.

Hang on, it is Sprint - Relay - Mass Start this week, so I think this is going to be a throwaway day for Weirer.
Only if she finishes 22nd or worse Otherwise the result will count for the overall.

Herrmann 10/10. Race over after bib #3

It is a good idea that they invit one nman and one women from every nation, hopefully it will be the first step to get rid of the qualification at all.
And we go back to the ideal of Baron Pierre de Ciubertain.
Let's get real, Ingemark Stenmark and Hanni Wentel were banned from participating in 1984 WOG because they were not amateur athletes. Good luck with IOC banning world class super stars from Olympics these days because they make too much money

Yeah, people usually hate when someone tells them what to do. Free will is more important than gender parity

Well, if either Biden or Sanders don’t end up with enough votes to win, Warren can make the “great unitor” play at the convention. I don’t think it would work, but her base is passionately anti-Biden as well.
Warren should just pull out and endorse Sanders at this stage. She keeps splitting the progressive vote while everyone else who pulled out has supported Biden which helped him a lot on ST. Bloomberg will endorse Biden too.

In Denmark the leader of the polling place has to check that there are no others wanting to vote before closing.
In other words, if there were long lines, it would remain open.Nobody has to wait 4 hours to vote in Poland, I suppose nobody has to wait 4 hours in Denmark either

CNN projects Biden to win Texas.
Sanders' expected Cal success will be of the pyrrhic nature.

Roeiseland is out too.
After skipping France her overall Cup chances were almost extinct already. She put all her chips for the World Champs and cashed in.
Wierer has almost 100 pts lead in the overall, God knows if Eckhoff recovers from the WCh disaster and Oeberg is very consistent but she needs to rack up wins to close the gap.

Kamila Zuk is out of Nove Mesto.
She picked up an ankle injury during mixed relay in Raubichi and missed the pursuit there already. Turns out it's something more serious. Anna Maka will replace her in NM (welcome 85th place, bwoah).

So, apparently this was Michal Slesingr's last individual race ever? Horrible it happened with empty stands
