  2. Could not agree with you more about Russia, it is dated and overrated. I hope the juries share your view and that the televoters vote for something more modern. I really hope Russia do not win with this as it will push the progress of the contest back 10 years and reduce the musical credibility that has been built up with excellent winners over the past few years.
  3. There is no need to change, over time as more teams in Athletics and Swimming are announced you can update the numbers
  4. Yes, it has been like that for a couple of days for me.
  5. Tomorrow Sierra Leone has a bye into the Women's -75kg Freestyle Wrestling Semi-Final. She will face the winner of Algeria vs Egypt. That gives her a chance to qualify!!
  6. Is that what the star next to the country name means?
  7. Does anyone know which events have quotas up for grabs, and how many quotas there are in those events?

  9. GREAT BRITAIN BIRDY AND RHODES - Let it all go After a tough selection process I an pleased to announce this fantastic and uplifting song as the UK entry in the Totallympics Annual International Song Contest 2016. A little tip - listen to the song on a high volume to get the best experience and atmosphere from the song. Enjoy! Lyrics in spoiler below

  11. At the 2016 Olympic Wrestling African & Oceania Qualification Tournament Palau have a chance to qualify through Florian Temengil in the Men's 125kg Freestyle and 130kg Greco-Roman. There is also a strong chance for through Midana. Hopefully there can be a couple of suprises and a reduced dominance of North Africa in the Olympic Qualification tournament. In the Women's -69kg there are currently only 5 entrants, one of those is from Chad, so with a bit of luck she has an outside chance to win a quota if the entry list does not grow.
  12. US TEAM SELECTIONS Men's Keirin - Matt Baranoski Women's Team Pursuit - Kelly Catlin, Chloe Dygert, Sarah Hammer, Jennifer Valente and Ruth Winder (I am not sure if the team is officially made up of 5, but only 4 ride, or whether Ruth Winder has been selected as a reserve) Women's Omnium - Sarah Hammer
  13. I've been having a few problems today. I have also found a problem with the number '0' in tables. Also, most pages are not opening first time, I have to refresh the page and then it will open - which is slightly annoying. The other thing is are these green hyperlinks adverts or links people have put as they are very annoying and keep popping up all over the screen.

  16. Anyone from anywhere can vote in this thread! Even Algeria can vote if you want!
  17. All I have heard is that they will be cheap. The overall budget for the 4 ceremonies is one 10th of what London spent on their 4 ceremonies. It looks as though the Paralympic ceremonies will suffer the biggest hit. The organisors of the ceremony have said that "high-tech" was being eliminated from the ceremonies. He listed drones, complex aerial equipment and disappearing stages as items that Rio would do without. The emphasis will be on the basics". Content wise, the production team have said that the carnival will be included. The team have said it will be a 'vision of what I hope it [Brazil] will become'. I guess we will have to wait and see....
  18. Sadly Turkmenistan are the only non-qualified nation to reach the Asia/Oceania Boxing Olympic Qualification Tournament Quarterfinals. They have 5 athletes in the quarterfinals so things are looking good for Turkmenistan to finally qualify an athlete to Rio 2016. Sadly Bhutan have not entered their boxer who qualified for the World Championships (Tashi Norbu), he might have had a slim chance to qualify but it now seems like Bhutan will have to rely on a wild card invitation to compete at Rio 2016.

  23. The same site that was used for proof that Liberia have qualified says that Haiti have qualified in the Men's 100m as well. I belive that it is an American athlete who has changed nationality but I am not sure what makes this case different from Liberia?
  24. I think my favourites this year have to be Croatia and Australia, but there is something about Bosnia that I really like as well. For the UK - they will do very well to get into the top 20, hopefully a good live vocal, staging and placing may be able to do that so that the BBC sticks with the national selection format, but just with better (and more interesting) songs next time.
