  1. Will the South African men's singles quota be reallocated to Uganda?
  2. Yes, but that was only a small number of quota. There will be lots more quota allocated via the rankings so I will wait for all the quota to be allocated before posting it

  9. The reallocation process for individual rankings could allow a few of the nations you mentioned above to qualify
  10. It must be super-competitive for a Weightlifting wild card! I expect every eligible oceanian nation other than Vanuatu has probably applied for a wild card. Hopefully, a few of them can qualify at the continental championships, Solomon Islands, Papua New Guinea, Samoa and Fiji have a big chance to qualify on the women's side, along with Australia and New Zealand of course. For the men Nauru and Kiribati have good chances to qualify as well.
  11. Is there any news on whether Brazil will use their 8 host nation quota in Fencing?

  13. Well, the official Sao Tome olympic committee website says that they qualified in the C1 1000m at the African Championships. In terms of Senegal, they were on the entry lists at the World Championships and the start lists, but no athelte from Senegal actually participated in the event, therefore Senegal did not officially compete at the World Championships and therefore they cannot be eligible for a quota.
  14. Sao Tome and Principe have qualified in the Men's C1 1000m because Senegal did not start in any event in the 2015 World Championships.
  15. It is great news, we will still have to wait for the official confirmation from the ICF, but it looks like the luck of the Sao Tome canoe team is changing for the better!
  16. According to the results Senegal DID NOT START in every event they entered, so technically they did not compete at the 2015 World Championships and are ineligible for the quota
  17. I think you are right, Senegal sent athletes in 2 events but both of them DID NOT START therefore technically Senegal did not compete at the 2015 World Championships and is therefore ineligible for a quota
  18. Well Baillie is out as well but I am not sure of he still participates, he doesn't compete with Sott anymore as Etienne Stott has a new partner Mark Procter.
  19. GB Kit designed by Stella McCartney:
  20. For GB: Gemma Gibbons silver medallist from 4 years ago in Judo looks likely to miss out as Natalie Powell is the number 1 ranked British athlete Ettienne Stott C2 gold medallist has not been selected, he won a bronze medal in 2015 WCH but the silver medalists from London 2012 were selected Michael Jamieson failed to make the GB team at the trials
  21. Well, Charlotte did not achieve the British qualification standard so her chances of going to Rio were very very small. The selectors have made it clear that any 3rd athlete must have achieved the GB selection standard, so athletes need to work towards tha. the 20km race walking teams still have to be selected, their trials are in Leeds at the start of June.
  22. Don't panic! They haven't selected The 20km race walking team, their trials aren't until June and Tom will most likely be selected then if he finishes in the top 2.
  23. The GB athletics selectors have announced the first 6 athletes for Rio 2016. Event Athletes Men's Marathon Callum HAWKINS Derek HAWKINS Tsegai TEWELDE Men's 50km Race Walk Dominic KING Women's Marathon Alyson DIXON Sonia SAMUELS

  25. The document still has South Africa down as qualified in the Men's -49kg and -52kg, yet their selection policy states that continental quota will not be accepted. Have they changed their minds, or will these be reallocated at a later date? If RSouth Africa reject both quota Kenya (-49) and Lesotho (-52) would qualify.
