There are some olympic sports like BMX freestyle which give 2 quotas each to top performing nation (S). Canoe slalom also should have 2*3 for 3 nations

The thing is majority sports person want the Olympics except for those belonging to tennis, football, golf but the covid cases are definitely the biggest concern. It's not big but Japanese health care are already treating like as if it's 20-30k cases per day and applying pressure on the government .

They are still claiming to set up vaccination centres. Now hope is either people follow the rules and cases decrease OR countries like Israel,New Zealand should send its nurses to Tokyo. That would greatly be enough for the testing of athletes .

If a horse is changed it's fine to keep MER, else I refuse to agree with the concept if same qualified horse has to have MER. Yes it is still ridiculous in my opinion.

@dcro Why these MER are even required ? Shouldn't qualification be enough or MER should be in qualifying only like I hate this sport but this qualification is absolutely ridiculous. India qualifying or not is a different thing but this MER is absolutely nonsense.

Women's wrestling is getting harder and harder to predict even with local grown talents

If that happened we'd have lots of Greek, Ukrainians, Turks, Armenians, Nigerians, Egyptians etc. It's okay to watch one sided matches as long as it's original content ( I mean athletes of that country itself). It's true most sports won't do it, but I have seen the fairytale stories in many sports. From nowhere to best that happens only with homegrown talent. Canada for example was in top 10 nations or so in the 1990s but they continued with expats and today they are like not even in top 20. PNG for example was nowhere today they are seeded 12th for T20 WC 2021 later this year. Also reminds me of Thailand where federation refused to allow expat women and believed in Thai school kids who last year qualified to the 10 team world cup and have already beaten Sri Lanka once. It's a non olympic sport but will soon become a olympic sport ofc in 2-3 editions, no doubt on that because cricket will give more money then 10-15 Olympic sports combined.

They should allow but with a 4 year buffer period. Can't see these wrestlers making wrestling popular either unless it's a country with very less sucess at Olympics like macedonia

Would be nice if that Polish Guy from other SF got the quota he seemed to polish or at least the real cuban whom slovakia defeated.
