In the years 2010-2023 he was the President of the Polish Olympic Committee, a member of the Executive Committee of the Association of European Olympic Committees (EOC), one of six European representatives on the Executive Council of the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC), a member of the Foundation Council of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), and the President of the Polish Olympic Foundation. In past he was also president of Polish Handball federation. RIP
