  1. Happy ticket draw eve, everybody. I saw a good tip in the Facebook group last night- make up a list or spreadsheet of the tickets you want with the relevant information including ticket code, times and venues, so you'll be prepared if you are chosen in the draw. Here is what I drew up as an example. Again, good luck to all here! parischart.xlsx

  23. Antigoni Drisbioti qualifies for Paris 2024! New NR in the women's 20km walk of 1:28:12! The previous NR of 1:28:58 was from 2004! Drisbioti's previous PB was 1:29:03 from 2022, and the Olympic standard was 1:29:20. Really incredible for her to be doing this at her age, she will be 39 next month! And she'll be 40 in Paris!

  24. I watched his QF against one of our guys (the weakest member of our Sabre team) and when he lost , my reaction was, ah this guy was terrible, you threw your best ever chance away (for a breakthrough in his career) really surprised to see the Polish guy won the whole thing at the end he looked amateur to my untrained eyes.

  37. I wouldn't say "amateur", but it's clear that he doesn't have the same technical skills that the top specialists. Yesterday he took advantage of home enthusiasm and a couple of home calls, but, more than anything, by a favourable draw and a lot of mental mistakes by those who faced him. Baher actually wasted a big chance (as Gallo did in the semifinal match) to turn his day from good to great.

  40. God fucking damn it. It looks like the rumors might be true about that Western European (German?) antifascists beat up somebody in Budapest yesterday. I hope this will turn out to be a hoax, but the Hungarian police are on it and they already caught multiple foreign individuals who were part of this madness. Do these people not realize how much this hurts the reputation of the left-wing and Western Europe in Hungary? We are already getting more and more conservative and anti-West as time progresses, and shit like this will only make things worse. This is not the image you want Hungarians to see about Western liberals, even if their intention is to beat up neonazis. And even if it turns out this wasn't antifa, the fact that foreigners come into our country to pull shit like this is infuriating.
