I like it too. My issue with the mixed relay for athletics and swimming at the Olympics is that they already have split events. You can have one or the other, but not both.

Despite taking the lead twice, we ended up drawing the United States. While second place is still possible, it would take Cuba defeating the United States and for us to utterly crush to pull it off.

Not 100% sure for Japan, but China declined due to COVID restrictions. Not sure why they only declined for water polo and not the other events.

The women's tournament is really missing and (I guess Japan too). Already a bunch of 20+ goal victories on the first day of competition.

Mental health is so important. Not everyone can handle being thrust into the limelight, especially now with social media where a lot of these athletes are only a click away from being directly contacted. It is always so sad when the media/public effectively destroy someone's sporting career because they couldn't live up to the high standards.

Yeah, live TV is very expensive for TV stations. Unlike syndication shows where you can show them over and over, for sports you only get one chance.
