Really Sad for South Sudan :( they are a nation that breathe basketball , Basketball players are national heroes just like 🇵🇷,they are definitely the best African team here as long as Nigeria hasn't qualified

South Sudan led for most part of the match, and Puerto Rico can’t seem to get over the hump until the last 3mins of the 4th where they managed to tie the ballgame

I saw South Sudan roster, many players are foreign born, mainly USA. They were part of NCAA system, so their strength isnt that surprising.

I was expecting them to win actually... 

 

They will probably meet Angola in the consolation round and that should decide the african quota (I don't see any other african team advancing or winning more than one game).

      There will be specialized double sculls...just not for an NOC if it is entering singles specialists.   Either enter 2 singles specialists, or 1 XD specialist pair.   But they can in theory compete in both events, I guess, if they qualify...our top M, I think, does both.   But there are 17M, 17W, and 30 Pairs allotted in the quota, so I don't think the intent is that every singles entry will be in doubles.   (Perhaps this gets to fall in line with Weightlifting, where due to max entry quota, an NOC can't enter in every event, even if they have the best athletes...here, unless you have a pair who qualifies in both.)
