So Basically, Sénéchal was the best belgian teammate of Remco and WVA the best french teammate of Laporte.

Yep. Their employers have priority over the national teams, more and more often and logically so. Per Strand Hagenes wasn't really told that in the U23 race, but he just didn't do anything for neither: his Norwegian 'captain' Waerenskjold or his 'Jumbo-Visma captain' Kooij, so...yeah :d

Juraj Sagan officially ended his career in this race, After being 200km part of the leading group (just like in Tokyo Olympics) he abandoned the race few km later and officially confirmed to our TV this was his very last race in his life.

Thus now only one Sagan remains in the peloton, the younger brother Peter, probably until Paris, to have one last dance for Slovakia and one last try to complete his CV with that missing Olympic medal.

Maybe 'Sagan announces end of career' can get some views as a headline on Dutch cycling websites, as long as they don't put the first name in the title :p

Fine race for P. Sagan today, probably his best in a very long time.

Vas has been rather invisible this entire year..

Same thing happened to her as happens to all the British female riders. They get signed up to a big team & end up as domestiques for van Vleuten, Vos, Vollering (and that’s just the Vs) or other big names.

And that's it for :VAT/:NED Rien Schuurhuis, who stayed in it for over 100km and showed himself nicely early on in the race.

Too bad that he didn't managed to finish the race, it would be so nice to complete first ever international competition for Vatican :d

I'm sure that should be Slavonia?

Pretty sure he’s from Yugoslavia. It’s easy to confuse those folks with the Czechoslovakians.
