Don't know if I'll be able to catch it live, but the women's 100m breaststroke final is going to be the first time in Lithuanian swimming history that more than 1 Lithuanian athlete is swimming in the same final  

 

Feels like a very good year for Lithuanian sport, especially after a disastrous Olympics. 

 

Hopefully we'll remain this strong till Paris 2024, although Meilutytė is still unsure if she is going to continue after the European Championships, because she doesn't want to plan ahead and she's starting university this Autumn.

I was checking, we went from 55 medals events 10 years ago to 77 this year (all disciplines), artistic swimming has tripled from 4 to 12.

 

Is there a point when organizers will reckon that too much is too much, and that each new event become more and more meaningless ?
