  1. Honestly Peronist is kind of it’s own thing. It’s an odd amalgamation of a bunch of different political ideologies.
  2. Jump-Rope, interesting
  3. Boko Haram is harder to fight because the terrain and lack of border security from countries in the area. It would honestly take more effort, and western countries aren’t going to put in that type of effort. If the opportunity comes, we’d go for it, but I’m afraid the West is not going to break its back over Nigeria, Mali, and Burkina Faso . We need to refocus on the Taliban, Pakistan, Eastern Ukraine
  4. But look! China can beat India, Sri Lanka, Rwanda, Congo, and 4th string European and American athletes with their best athletes! I’m honestly fine with them taking the games seriously, I think it’s a good thing for the longevity and prestige of the games. The fixing, cheating, and lack of foreign top talent isn’t though.
  5. Jokes aside. Chinese athletes did perform well. Unfortunately, it was at expense of some athletes who performed better in some cases. I mean almost of the all the officials and judges were Chinese, that shouldn’t be the case at an international event like this. A lot of questionable calls favored the Chinese athletes. Also, to be clear, I don’t the blame the athletes. Many of the men have no control over the government “fixing” the results. I do think China did a great job hosting the games, I just can’t respect the way the cheated in multiple case, and how hard they made it find some basic information. I enjoyed the games, but they were far from perfect.
  6. No, but China is.
  7. Yeah, I’m going need something a bit more mainstream and realistic than that
  8. ?? I’ll quickly sum up what happened to one of my favorite reps. In the 2018 elections, she turned a historically red seat blue (her district includes half of town (she’s not my rep though)) in a huge upset. She quickly rose to fame in the House, and was climbing the democratic ranks. She was also known for her bipartisan work, which is a rarity nowadays. However, a few weeks ago some videos began to circulate on the internet. It turns out that she had been supposedly having sexual relations with a few different people. It isn’t shocking because she’s bisexual, but everyone has been using it to attack her, which is completely wrong. In fact, my town’s mayor (a Republican) came out with a lengthy statement in her defense today. It’s honestly a shame to see someone attacked because they’re unhappy in their marriage and questioning their sexuality. I don’t think she should have relationships with her staffers, but I also think that we should hold the 15 or so other elected officials similar issues responsible too. Especially since we’ve decide that it’s okay for men to use woman as they please, but disgusting when a woman does the same thing, or speaks out about unwanted contact. I love this country, I really do. I just hate to see it in this state. I honestly fear will never recover from the partisan age.
  9. And the cartels, can’t forget the cartels
  10. https://olympics.nbcsports.com/2019/10/26/oksana-chusovitina-retire-gymnastics/
  11. Well at least they lost with style:
  12. So after a long afternoon I’ve gotten a preliminary sports program for the games. However, there are currently 73 events on the program, and I want 75. So I pose this question, what sports (not in Olympics) should I attempt to add to the games?
  13. Nah, I prefer canal jumping . I’ll stick to roller sped skating and sport climbing for now ?
  14. Well at least they didn’t cut other disciplines to make room for it.
  15. Broadcast information, looks like they liked the 2017 strategy. I think we should expect almost identical coverage. “The BOC and IWGA have engaged world-renowned International Sports Broadcasting (ISB) to provide host broadcasting services for The World Games 2021 Birmingham. The BOC and ISB have a joint meeting in October to discuss details about production hours, sport coverage and overall production planning. As with The World Games 2017 Wroclaw, a 24/7 Channel will be available for the global distribution of The Games. In addition, international broadcasters will get the chance to pick up specific streams of sports that are popular in their countries. ISB will use up to eight OB vans for the production of the TV signal. ISB will not only act as the production arm of The World Games 2021; they will take over the international marketing of the media rights too. In addition, IWGA and ISB plan to continue to work with Olympic Channel to secure distribution of The World Games 2021 to all territories in the world. IWGA will hold a media workshop for International Federations to inform them about requirements for the best TV production possible. IFs will have to identify a counterpart for the TV production team on-site at the competition venues. IFs will receive more information on this topic at the IWGA media workshop in November.”
  16. The most French thing I’ve seen in a while
  17. I can’t wait to see who wins a medal! It could be Green, Gray, Orange, Black, etc.! What a thrilling and not at all joke competition
  18. They’ve been out for a while now. The IIHF is just slow as a snail.
  19. is still doing good too, but I wouldn’t say they have any medal chances yet. had terrible performances, and the Swiss might really need to put some work in.
  20. Well @hckosice, I’m about to rock your world with this one: https://www.ibsf.org/en/component/events/event/500568 Legit medal chance for Slovakia.
  21. Have you ever seen the Japanese game show where they make cakes that look like real objects? Essentially they give the participants a choice of two shoes, one real (gross/hard) shoe, and one made of cake. It’s honestly one of the funniest game shows in the world. Slippery Stairs is better in my opinion though.
  22. Yes it’s essentially a big game of “keepie-uppie”. Points are scored when a team is not able to keep the ball in the air. I forgot the rules of the court boundaries, but I’m actually a bit familiar with this sport.
  23. Oh, I’ve actually seen this sport before and watched some matches at a world championships. Yes, I remember thinking what the hell is this then. It’s a big deal in schools (not in American, but in Japan I think)
  24. I mean China had guides and had practiced on the orienteering trails. They even made special hidden routes for their athletes. The judging did seem odd in Artistic Gymnastics. I mean the Chinese are good, but the Brazilians, Armenians, and North Koreans should have found at least one gold medal somewhere. It clear throughout the games that Chinese athletes were getting the better of end of the stick. At least most other events wouldn’t let the Chinese get away with this much blatant cheating. I mean if your going to cheat, at least put some effort in to not making it obvious as hell.
