  1. @Wumo I’d help out, but I think we already know I can’t be trusted with posting votes (or tables, or anything not words or videos really)
  2. I heard talk about emotional ladies!? I am needed?!
  3. That would get in the way of my Spanish, French, and hopefully Icelandic though
  4. Why? Honestly the only reason my family still watches TV is because of college football, and HBO.
  5. You sir, have not seen my YouTube history . I find the Jeux De La Francophonie to be highly enjoyable, and there is an actual point for them. The games celebrate language through sport, culture, and art .
  6. But it’s cheaper, and smaller nations can afford it. There’s also almost no risk of someone getting hurt. I’m fine with target shooting, but just don’t like heavy weapons, so for me I love the 10m events.
  7. True, but if you’re not paying for tv... You could also just choose only a few to pay per month and then cancel your subscription until there’s something you want to watch.
  8. Okay Robert’s Rebellion is whatI meant.
  9. All about the streaming services. I have an account for most of them. They’re just so much better than cable tv.
  10. I did hear that it ends, right where GOT began (so it will end with the Great War)
  11. Most students need 2 years of foreign language on High School, and then 2 years in college. Most high schools only offer Spanish and French. Colleges offer different languages. Mine offers French, Spanish, and Italian. I know a about universities also offer Russian, Japanese, Mandarin, Portuguese, and Hawaiian.
  12. Except that we don’t actually call it grade 9, we call it “Freshman year”.
  13. The record for summiting all 8000m peaks by one person was broken today. A Nepalese climber managed to climb all the peaks in one climbing season (from May 2019-Oct 2019). He beats the previous record by 7 years. What a feat! What a day for mountaineering!
  14. British elections will be on December 12. I cheering for the SNP and LIB/DEM. I hope Tory and Labour take huge loses. Also, I hope for the reemergence of my favorite candidates: Lord Buckethead, Elmo, and the guy who’s campaign slogan is “why not?”
  15. Well, it will all come down to a good ole’ game 7 matchup. That means I’ll watch my first baseball game this year probably.
  16. Is class 9 the same as year 9 in GB or grade 9 in the US (we really need some universal terms for education levels)
  17. I swear MSNBC and FOX NEWS are trying their best to start shit amongst their viewers. This isn’t really journalism, but it’s sure as hell entertaining to watch ?
  18. HBO just announced the programs that will be available on HBO MAX (their no streaming service to challenge Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, and Disney+), and let my tell you...I’m in love . I’m pretty sure the only time I won’t be watching HBO in 2020 will be during the Olympics
  19. Oh, phew ?. I though you were talking about a California rep I like. Yeah Hunter’s an asshole, but it’s pretty much what I expect to come out of that region of state
  20. Again, more bad planning by the western powers before they pulled out of the region. The revitalization of religious sectarianism and extremism throughout the Middle East since the 1970s hasn’t helped either.
  21. Yes, I had a Lebanese friend in high school. His dad fought in the civil war, and their family hated all Muslims (the kid said his dad would shoot on site any that ever came near them). I believe his dad was shot during the war and had family members captured/killed (and for some reason I remember him being a prisoner of the Shia (but it’s to vague for me to be certain about)). He explained to me the political system, and how what their they’re family had gone through spaced their lives. Unfortunately, our relationship broke down because his family was 100% behind Trump and the NRA, and I just couldn’t handle someone like that at the time (and probably still couldn’t). What’s worse about the situation in Lebanon is the amount of guns in circulation. Vice News did a good piece about it that you can watch here: Drugs are also a major problem in the country. However, the skiing is nice at least
  22. Pretty standard as TV openings go. It do like that I notice the baseball theme, and that it mirrors the MLB intros a bit.
  23. The protests were successful! Lebanon’s prime minister will step down. However, I have a feeling this isn’t the end of protests. Lebanon’s protest are more about the economy more than anything else.
  24. Especially now that her prize is gone
