No, we shouldn’t try Capitalism or Communism. We should try the middle ground (I.e Democratic Socialism). Those in power in South American have socialism to satisfy their own greed. They do not deserve to be called socialists, they are autocrats. I totally get your point about politics and corruption. I’m glad to have someone like you around. Most of the time we don’t see eye to eye on policies, but it’s clear that we both care. If more people cared the world would be better. I blame a lack of education, General laziness, and a submissive will for the reason the world hasn’t changed for the better despite al the progress humans have made. I am asking the impossible, but really every person should strive for the impossible. Those that do are generally the best, most wise people.

I wouldn’t call it the entitlement era. The Elite have only gotten richer since WW2, and the common person has really improved their economic status (especially in developing countries). Capitalism is spinning out of control and people are finally realizing that. All the protestors want is decent pay, a stable government, and a less corrupt government. I don’t feel like that’s too much to ask.

The amount of countries having major protests right now is kind of crazy. I’m getting some Arab Spring vibes again. Although I’d say this is more of a South America Bonfire.
