  1. And very excited waiting for the arrival of her baby I might add . Half her posts are about that.
  2. Yeah, I’m impressed by him. Most countries won’t let their athletes do 120 hills until there 15-17 years old. I’d say he has serious talent.
  3. He’ll be eligible for the 2024 YOG, and then maybe the 2026 Winter Olympics (but I’d say 2030 is more realistic)
  4. Yep, but I won’t have time for that today. I’ll do it tomorrow.
  5. Well there are another 2 races in Germany, but that would mean they’d need to attend events in the US/Canada
  6. Alright, so the first IBSF qualification series races take place this week. Below I’ve posted the nations that are going for qualification (and least in Europe). There will be 4 races for each event in Europe, and then a further 4 races for each event in North America. Athletes must participate in at least 4 races to be eligible for YOG. The IBSF will have a points list where you can keep track of the qualification process. *These are NOT quotas, just the countries attempting qualification Women’s Skeleton: Men’s Skeleton: Women’s Monobob: Men’s Monobob:
  7. “Another one bites the dust”: https://www.insidethegames.biz/articles/1086243/african-games-10000m-winner-fails-test
  8. I would write about it, but I would imagine that’s not what you had in mind.
  9. And CCTV doesn’t post replays of everything . Oh well, I settle for what they’ll let me watch (said me and every Chinese citizen)
  10. I just figured out how to watch things live, and I don’t have any time to watch this week
  11. Well as sports journalist I feel the need to support the three woman journalist, so... Go Nationals
  12. Off the top of my head, Dan Palmer (freelancer who used to work for ITG), Mike Pavit (still works for ITG), or the ARD journalists who broke the Russia story.
  13. @dcro I cant believe you wouldn’t ask me. I have a great relationship with the ITG guys
  14. Oh definitely. If it’s not up in the next month or two, there will have been a serious problem.
  15. No clue. I just went ahead a forgot about this event if I’m being honest. They aren’t showing it on TV anyways.
  16. No, it features a stand alone flying event, and then pretty much a normal modern pentathlon.
  17. Supposedly the ISSF are helping the WRS develop a new handbook showing how not to dress
  18. Just an update on this, It’s going to be awhile. I’m still currently figuring out the formatting and making results books for the various games that are going on right now. This is on my long list of things to do around here, so it may be awhile, but I think the end product will be one people like.
  19. I got the mixed team and mixed 4-man confused . Sometimes I really am just an idiot. Thanks, for correcting me though
  20. World Minigolf World Championships Will happen this week. Minigolf is a GAISF sport. Here’s the upcoming livestream for those interested:
  21. That’s thing, everything was in order. I don’t know what happened behind the scenes. It isn’t good, because the organization seems to have a roadblock. There’s also a 5/6 stop European Tour, so there’s actually 12 elite events (counting the Asian Championships too) this season (or at least there is supposed to be). would have legitimate medal hopes in this sport currently (not to mention US, RUS, FIN, FRA, SUI, KOR, CHN) Also, the record World Cup attendance for this sport is 40k spectators. It would definitely deserve an Olympic spot. The World Cup is been established since 2002, the events have good television coverage, and there’s a good mix of competitive nations (though and killed everyone last year). I really don’t know what’s going on behind the scenes. I hope that it doesn’t kill the chances of Ice Climbing going Olympic soon. This is such a unique sport, with a lot heritage and history. Plus, it’s very different from anything currently on the program.
  22. Yeah I wouldn’t count Ivanov out, but she can be inconsistent. The same goes for Britcher. Americans love throwing away perfect opportunities in ice sports. I’ll always be happy that Mazder won silver, but deep down I always struggle with the fact he should’ve had gold.
  23. Also, while the skating quality will be higher, we will not see the likes of or this time
  24. looks set for their first winter YOG appearance. I would be willing to bet that quota gets reallocated (unless they’ve already confirmed it (I a bit confused by the process))
  25. Nevermind. It looks like they already added the known reallocations for now. It just took me a while to figure that out.
