Heard that a few Iraqis may have been injured. Also heard that both US and Iranian fighter jets have just taken off from their respective bases in the region, setting up a potentially dangerous situation in the skies.

Iran has launched missiles at a US/Iraqi Air-Force Base in Iraq. Various reports are claiming that 6-10 missions hit the base, and it sounds as though there are US causalities.

I don’t disagree with this, but it’s actual journalism. It’s just opinionated writing at that point. Columnists can be journalists (and many are), but you need to have the support of facts, research, and subject knowledge to be a true columnist. One of the greatest parts of social media is the availability of primary sources. However, many people use social media to spread misinformation. It’s up to real journalists to disprove the liars and cast them aside as nothing but political agents. Real journalists have a strong code and ethics and a desire to report the truth (and yes, they can be wrong occasionally, and they should admit their mistakes).

Yes, it is known as “The Vortex”. Under its sustainability plan (and the main reason why the Swiss government was willing to allow construction) it will become it’s own “little city” after the YOG. It will contain apartments, shops, gardens, etc. I quite like it as an Olympic Village because it’s rather easy for the athletes mingle with each other, it’s easy to secure (only having a few opening, and there’s a gain central area for events/games/etc.
