  1. Another one bites the dust! 4th CISM Winter Military Games are postponed. No new dates given yet. My guess is that it would have to be December 2021, March 2022, or winter 2022/2023. Info: https://www.milsport.one/news/news-post/092020-september-2020/the-4th-cism-world-winter-games-are-postponed-to-the-20212022-winter-season
  2. Some information about merchandising: https://www.insidethegames.biz/articles/1098169/la28-launch-new-merchandise-range
  3. I think there’s a couple reasons. Disney’s ridiculous business model. You have to pay for a streaming service, and then pay an additional large fee to see the movie. The lead actress came out in support of the Hong Kong police a few months ago. People also just hate Disney in general for versions social, political, and economic reasons.
  4. This is one of my dream jobs. NBC makes these montages/intros before each Olympics (plays right before Opening Ceremony coverage). I would love to write/produce these.
  5. Is it just me, or does China always have bad websites for multi-sports games? The web design is just horrible for Sanya 2020 (2021) and Beijing 2022.
  6. The Haudenosanee Nation has accepted the quota place rejected by Ireland.
  7. And the award for least interesting stage of the tour goes to...
  8. Apparently the line judge Novak hit yesterday is getting abused by Novak’s fans on social media
  9. More importantly, was Poland kicked out?
  10. Huh, that’s what Evan Dunfee thought too
  11. How do think telling this to someone is helpful? I get your cynic, and that you don’t like me, but how is this comment constructive or helpful? Do you think it’s possible that there might be events in my life that I find incredibly depressing, tragic, and challenging at the moment? If someone says “Gee, my mental health isn’t great right now,” that the best response is “If you think your life is bad now; you should just wait a couple of years.” I really hope you understand what a useless, idiotic, and harmful statement that is.
  12. If we’re going to have 14 athletes a weight class, we might as well just 16 athletes in each weight class.
  13. I know that. I’m just flustered right now. There’s just so much going on in my country and personal life at the moment, and it’s wearing me down. I know I don’t need to defend my reporting, but I’m just tired and mentally drained.
  14. Again, fair. I shouldn’t feel the need to justify myself as a reporter. I took an hour to write that post because I kept correcting it, and I’m still unhappy I posted it. I would obviously hope my writing speaks for itself, but I felt the need to say that. I don’t care if people want to debate my political views, argue my opinions on international sport, etc. I do care when people question my ability or ethics as a reporter. I don’t think that was your intention, but I choose to respond anyway. You’ve read my reporting you can be the judge I guess.
  15. Yeah, fair enough. I have very little respect for MSNBC, CNN, Palmer Report, Daily Kos, etc. My job as a journalist is keep people informed. I do that through facts and research. I don’t attempt to disagree with, or spin the facts. I maintain a very high standard of ethics and integrity for any project I’m a part of. It’s not my opinion that those organizations share those same values. Their politics may align with mine in some areas, but their job is to inform people. Telling people what they want to hear isn’t journalism.
  16. I wish I could give this like a hundred of this little green upvotes.
  17. I’m honestly surprised you don’t work for FOX, Breitbart, or InfoWars sometimes.
  18. And humans have done 99% percent more of the work to make then a threatened/endangered species
  19. Clearly someone isn’t familiar with “Honeyland.” That women eemed like she was just rolling in the dough.
  20. Yay, Toms! Another rider who broke through at the Tour of California.
  21. As this is a special case, the FIL/IWGA came to a special agreement. The Gods of the Haudenosanee (Iroquois) people gifted the sport of Lacrosse to them. In turn, the Haudenosanee gifted the game to the rest of the world. The Haudenosanee are the spiritual keepers of the sport, much the same way as Scotland is with Curling, Japan with Judo, and Korea with Taekwondo. Recapping the posts from above: The Haudenosanee were originally not invited to the World Games, since they do not have an NOC. Their players then created a petition asking the other nations to boycott the Games, which received wide support in the Lacrosse community. The IWGA/FIL then decided that the Haudenosanee could compete if they had met the qualification requirements (which they easily had), as this was a special case. Ireland the decided (voluntarily) to reject their place at the Games, so the Haudenosanee could compete.
  22. Ireland has voluntarily rejected it’s quota place in men’s lacrosse, so that the Haudenosanee Nation may compete. Article: https://worldlacrosse.sport/article/ireland-lacrosse-voluntarily-withdraws-from-twg-2022/ Fantastic act of sportsmanship. You should be proud of your boys @OlympicIRL. I sincerely hope that FIL/IWGA/BIR2022 come up with a way to let both teams compete.
