  1. Damn, would have been nice to see St. Lucia in a team sport at a multi-sports games.
  2. Paul McMullen Source: https://www.flotrack.org/articles/6912043-usa-olympian-paul-mcmullen-has-died?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=socialmedia&utm_campaign=flotracknews&utm_term=thumbnail.paulmcmullen
  3. WandaVision finale fell a little flat for me. Episodes 1-7 were some of the best Marvel content so far in my opinion, but episode 8 felt kind of out of place, and episode 9 kind of underdeveloped to me. Episode 8 was actually very good, it might have just been better as a stand alone film or special. All in all, good show that gets me excited for the rest of Phase 4.
  4. Another athlete retiring right before the Olympic season.

  6. Sweden managed to get their track open this year. https://www.instagram.com/p/CMCH5npHylh/?igshid=1lwqcxxvy3fqv
  7. It might be why they’re going for it more than other countries. All the other countries on the bubble already have a guaranteed quota, so it’s only a bonus quota for them. Also, I see nothing wrong with Lithuania entering a relay. I actually quite like the new qualification system. I do think it could be refined here and here, but overall it seems to be a good qualification system. It’s increased the importance of the World Championships for smaller countries, added a little more tension, and has a fair distribution of quotas that both encourages participation of smaller countries, and still rewards those at the top.
  8. Uh...unless I missed something, they never got a basic quota, so this would be only one quota for them.
  9. Yep, California is in for a difficult year.
  10. Here’s a nice article about Myles Amine : https://www.eurolympic.org/road-to-tokyo-olympic-journey-a-family-affair-for-san-marino-wrestler/
  11. With the current allocation, including the 2-3 basic quotas picked up today, there should be 20 NOCs with at least four female skiers.
  12. Might have more to do with some countries Covid measures then a lack of entries. Singapore had an entry at the 2018 World Champs and Rio 2016, but they haven’t turned up...
  13. @MHSN CAS ruled that the Iranian Judo Federation couldn’t be banned indefinitely, but could have their ban/sanctions reassessed by the IJF according to the proper rules. Here’s a better explanation/story:
  14. Just a small note, but I really like the new FISU pictograms: https://www.fisu.net/sports/all-sports I think it’s part of the new branding they adopted last year, and I have to say, the logo/pictograms/etc. look modern, colorful, and professional.
  15. It’s all good, you explained it much better than I did anyways. Bachelors Degree in Olympic Quota Mathematics, Masters Degree in Olympic Qualification Law
  16. @LowerSaxony Brazil could get a second quota through D.2 if they’re in the top 30, but you’re absolutely right about reallocation as well. My math worked out identical as well when I did the calculations a few days ago, so I think all of this is correct. Edit: Misread the original post, so my comment about D.2 was already covered.
