  5. Team GB medals after Day 13 Rank Gold Silver Bronze Total 2 22 21 13 56 Perfect day with the three top contenders all winning their events (Women's 470, Men's Triathlon and Taekwondo Women's -57kg). More silvers added by Heath/Schofield in canoeing, Alistair's brother Jonathan and a bronze for Ellis/Langridge in badminton to round it off. Great to see medals coming from too more sports, also with silver guaranteed in women's hockey today. With that, Team GB is just 9 medals away from London's 65 total.
  6. I bet she and Icho will continue as in Japan, age is not a reason for demotivation. Hello Kasai.
  7. -75kg was Japan's weakest category here so this is not a surprise.

  12. Team GB medals after Day 11 Rank Gold Silver Bronze Total 2 19 19 12 50 3-2-4 yesterday, so the optimistic count came true here. Giles Scott had the gold secured before the medal race so well done. Jack Laugher showed a solid performance winning the silver as his second medal. Wilson and Tinkler topped off a great overall performance in artistic gymnastics with two more bronzes. I won't talk about track cycling for a specific reason.
  13. First medal, thanks to Stefanek.
  14. So the Ukraine is not a "powerhouse" anymore? They used to dominate boxing before London 2012.

  16. Team GB medals after Day 10 Rank Gold Silver Bronze Total 2 16 17 8 41 One entire stack on the tenth day. Dujardin finished with the highest score in individual dressage, repeating her success from 2012. Cavendish with silver in men's omnium but with a nasty taste to it. The most beautiful performance this time by Sophie Hitchon with a bronze in women's hammer throw. Not only was it unexpected but also we have a medal in a throwing event. Nice.

  18. Team GB medals after Day 9 Rank Gold Silver Bronze Total 2 15 16 7 38 With 5 golds and 3 silvers, that was probably the best day for Team GB for the rest of the games. Whitlock had the day of his life, gold in floor was very unexpected, Rose with a perfect finish to win the first Olympic golf tournament for ages and even though I'm not a big fan of Murray, he is now a double-Olympic champion. Kenny won the all-British sprint final against Skinner. Louis Smith didn't look too happy with his silver but it was a close fight between the top three. Nick Dempsey takes the first silver in sailing.
