  2. Team GB medals after Day 15 Rank Gold Silver Bronze Total 2 27 22 17 66 Farah and Adams maintained their Olympic titles from London, Liam Heath won the K-1 200m and we also got some bronzes from Vicky Holland, Bianca Walkden and the women's 4x400 relay. With that, the total of London 2012 has been surpassed, with one more secure medal to come today. Great job for the best British team ever indeed. I've never expected second place ahead of China!
  3. Chen was amazing.
  4. Petriashvili made it quick and Akgül might be doing the same as last year.
  5. Fair enough. btw, what a great finish for Mexico on medals today.
  6. I've read that too but women's freestyle hardly isn't popular enough yet and men's greco-roman has issues too.
  7. I guess 6 could be seen as a good comprimise for combat sports, except for boxing where there should be more men's categories. 6+6+6 for wrestling 6+6 for judo 6+6 for taekwondo 6+6 for fencing, which means full teams too. Not sure about karate yet, it has to earn its place first. E: I would also like a mixed team event for judo, taekwondo and wrestling.
  8. But weightlifting is awesome.
  9. What do you mean? All 8 categories for men and women in taekwondo? All 16 would be too much, especially if karate has a chance to stay after Tokyo.
  10. Wish taekwondo had more than just 8 events at the Olympics. Should be at least 10.
  11. Makhov out already.
  12. It's most likely to come tomorrow in boxing.

  17. Team GB medals after Day 13 Rank Gold Silver Bronze Total 2 22 21 13 56 Perfect day with the three top contenders all winning their events (Women's 470, Men's Triathlon and Taekwondo Women's -57kg). More silvers added by Heath/Schofield in canoeing, Alistair's brother Jonathan and a bronze for Ellis/Langridge in badminton to round it off. Great to see medals coming from too more sports, also with silver guaranteed in women's hockey today. With that, Team GB is just 9 medals away from London's 65 total.
  18. I bet she and Icho will continue as in Japan, age is not a reason for demotivation. Hello Kasai.
  19. The end of an era.
  20. -75kg was Japan's weakest category here so this is not a surprise.
