  1. It's been a lot of talking about Abdelhak Nouri here already, the Ajax player who suddenly fell down with a heart attack in the friendly against Werder Bremen in 2017....in his case they waited way too long with CPR, at least in Eriksen's case medics and everyone was absolutely right on top of it. That might give some hope.. Danish former player Kenneth Perez on Dutch TV now said he got a message the ambulance left without sirens. But yeah, that can have a meaning both ways (like Perez also said, it really doesn't say anything).
  2. Finnish player at first was like "I didn't do anything", until he noticed Eriksen didn't just pretend to have been tackled... Referee was incredibly sharp by the way, as soon as he laid eyes on Eriksen, he noticed it was very wrong and started waving for medics.
  3. Dutch NOS once Eriksen was moved off the field and they went back to the studio: "And here is the moment where he fell down" Ugh, I know one can find that everywhere online, but does it really need to be broadcast extra clearly on TV? We know he fell down and something went very wrong in his body.
  4. They're performing CPR, fuck
  5. That was a set of scarily unresponsive eyes right there...not sure the cameras need to be that much on top of it though.. Even a few Finnish players nearly bursting in tears.
  6. wtf Eriksen, this is not good
  7. The tone has been set, so to speak
  8. Everyone except for like North Macedonia did. Oh wait
  9. And now a match which actually feels like part of a big event, by the looks of it
  10. I would've put Huracan in a race instead of dressage event though
  11. Ah, the PDC's trick whenever people at the darts start singing "Booooring boooooring tables"
  12. One more for Wales please
  13. Maybe it's the camera operator then, a ton of shots show 1 or 2 rows of seats or even none at all, just the field and a large empty space around it. Without the sound, it often looks as though it could be in a huge stadium or on the field of my small town's local team
  14. It doesn't help that it's only filled with like 6 random people who happened to walk past for a minute Or so it seems
  15. The literal 10 seconds in which I turned off the sound and looked away to check a short video on my laptop
  16. Wouldn't it be cool if UEFA/FIFA bans big tournament matches being held in stadiums with one of them athletics tracks around the field? Every single match ever in a stadium like that has at least 80% less atmosphere no matter how much noise the fans make simply due to them being so freaking far away..
  17. Can't say Italy is likely to be very scared of these teams so far..
  18. It must be cool to compete in a qualifier knowing that even if you lose, you'll qualify
  19. Soviet/Belarussian speed skating legend Igor The Bear from Minsk Zhelezovski, six time sprint world champion between 1985 and 1993, has passed away aged 58
  20. What a final of the European championships Germany - Netherlands 1-0 1-1 2-1 Penalty corner with less than ten seconds to go: 2-2 Shootouts: Netherlands wins Nice revenge for the group game where Germany came from 2-0 down in the last minute or so
  21. I'm aware of that and plenty of results are dubious indeed, but this specific one is not some impossible record or something I mean, it's not like in other competitions he never reached 70m.
  22. And in the Belgium Tour, which Remco Evenepoel is dominating and will easily win, there's a bit of a scandal around Jan-Willem van Schip. He was riding with these handlebars and was DQ'ed and thrown out of the whole race for it. New rules and all, fine, but the thing is UCI had repeatedly let the team know this was fine, and even on the morning of the stage the UCI official present was asked about it and gave the green light to race with it.
  23. Meanwhile there's one stage to go in the Giro Ciclistico U23 ('the Baby Giro'), and Juan Ayuso, only 18 years old, has basically been destroying everyone the entire week. Won a stage with a sort of flat finish and solo'ed to wins on a stage with a decent climb and semi-flat finish and a stage with a monster climb. He's just not winning every stage because he's not going after every attack, but he is far, far, far and away the best. https://www.procyclingstats.com/race/giro-ciclistico-d-italia/2021/stage-9
  24. Some fun little climbs in the 4th stage of the Tour of Slovenia coming up today. Twice, followed by the finish on top of this slightly uncomfortable traffic bump.
