  1. Don't say we're being forced to that horrendous 2024 version of the Eurovision Sports website, again?
  2. At least I hope that main page won't have results automatically added to them
  3. Yep. One of the few cases where I am at least more open to believing it is in the case someone had sexual relations with a person who can prove they had a certain substance in their body. Not saying that would or should absolve the athlete of any punishment or something like that, I honestly don't know (and in the end the athlete is still the one responsible), but at the very least I am a little more inclined to believe a story like that (since it's a normal thing for people to do and one can quite easily imagine bodily fluids transmitting substances to some degree) than the cancer medicines that fell in the pasta sauce or grandpas making desserts on the same board they cut their medicines on and bringing it 200km to their grandchild and tadaaa, that explains the doping test.
  4. I would see whether or not that road would take illegal ways according to French law and so if theoretically she could use it, but I'm on my work laptop now and not feeling like risking that Google search
  5. His Rio sample, I assume that means?
  6. Oh crap, I knew I should have hurried a little more with entering everything into my own calendar, now they messed the site up and it's gonna be so much more work in scrolling alone Old one (I still have a tab open): Same screen space on the new one: Do these things never have anyone that says "you know what, let's try to add information, but without making everyone scroll twice as much!"?
  7. I guess even they didn't dare to go for Sedjati
  8. Right, still waiting, but almost time to make the switch I guess
  9. Right. Yeah, that makes a lot of sense actually, wasn't entirely awake yet I think
  10. Due to a doping offense, to be clear... I just can't....three missed tests, how the fuck do you do that if you're a genuine professional? You know you're on edge after two missed tests, how do you not check your whereabouts and if necessary update them every single day? I'd do it 5 times a day and wouldn't stop being anxious until at least one missed test is more than 12 months ago again.... Who gets their spot? Edit: just read the rest of the article, nobody will replace them because the draw is already made. That's a shitty rule, so if you're one spot out, even someone withdrawing (for whatever reason) way more than a week before it actually starts doesn't get you in, what happened to the lucky loser kind of thing we see in tennis tournaments
  11. 140 events, where are the other 191?
  12. I would genuinely not be surprised if those people saw the Liberian flag and thought "uuuuh...you es ay!!?!!"
  13. The open water races could still end up not being in the Seine, not because of the water conditions (that seems to have been cleaned up quite nicely), but because of the massively strong flow of water, more than twice as strong as the maximum that's allowed in the rules (1,2 m/s vs 0,5 m/s). Swimmers recently did a test in the Elbe river in Germany at 0,7 m/s and already barely managed to keep going, let alone if it's almost twice as strong. Hopefully that changes very soon, the main challenge in a 10k race shouldn't be to avoid going backwards
  14. Out of competition, has he learned nothing? You need to either disconnect/remove your doorbell, give a totally random address and accept the one strike for a missed test or have a panic room ready when you're glowing, come on.
  15. All I know is that I dare say full wets are probably not going to work in the situation in this video.
  16. Is there a name for this holiday? Of course I know the story, but I had no idea there's people in the world who 'celebrate' it as a specific day.
  17. Oh if they have both options that would indeed be fantastic. I can imagine there's plenty of people who just want to watch a specific match, especially in sports like tennis or boxing, and then it's a horror show to try and find it amidst a 10 hour stream
  18. Stage after a rest day, and unbelievably they went for another route with....well, nothing of interest at all. Leading to basically nobody trying anything at all today. I doubt they will, because they've never done anything that makes sense, but the organizers should just have no flat stages at all next year. In previous years there'd always be a few trying it, this year it's nothing. Never mind then, climbs only...
  19. Not to mention it fucks things up for those who don't want spoilers. If you see a tennis match's stream is 1 hour, you can basically stop watching after one set. Same principle for volleyball or basically anything with a set system.
  20. In Tokyo not every stream had commentary, especially not for every single court, mat and piste in sports with 100 matches before we get to the medals, but as long as they're shown, it's already great
  21. But isn't it the nation that decides who gets to use a quota they received?
  22. That's a weird reason not to allow those results anymore. "Athletes are going to location X to have good results, so we won't count them anymore." What. There are sports where that would have been quite a good idea (cross-country skiing for example, where simply participating in certain races was enough to get great points, under the old system at least), but athletics?
  23. But there is no such thing as a podium in a tournament like this, just like there isn't in a tennis Grand Slam or something.
