  1. Well. If Japan are doing as good as hoped in vaccinating, it could absolutely be possible. But things need to get moving, and fast!
  2. Yes. EMA is expected to make their call in a week, but it was announced today that they will not be able to produce the amounts expected the first month.
  3. Least of all the EU? Criticize EU all you want, but the most effective EU country is (I believe) 6th. Sure, that's way behind Israel and UAE (don't get me wrong, I would have love to see us at the same pace). And really, the EU doesn't have much to do with it any longer. They made sure that EU could buy plenty, following the demands from the nations (of who plenty cared much about costs). Now that we're getting them, it's mainly between the suppliers and the individual nations. Right now the main worries are that both Pfizer/Biontech and Astrazeneca are struggling to deliver what they've promised. And BTW, initial reports are that nothing is really wrong with those vaccines in Sweden. They were transported at a too low temperature (more like the temperatures for the Pfizer vaccines), but they don't expect to be needing another vaccine for the 1000. Some other vaccines with the same problem are held back though.
  4. I can't decide whether I'm to feel entertained or worried by Greene. This and the face mask showing how she's censored while speaking in the House is pretty damn hillarious. Meanwhile QAnon (and plenty of other conspiracy theories) actually getting to the Hill is concerning.
  5. Gosh how I've missed your comments in here...
  6. No. He is by all means not going to be at the US Olympic team? That is not the point. You're saying that nobody's gonna try. Then I give you an example who apparently doesn't matter because he's not good enough?
  7. Mack Beggs has been fighting to be allowed to...
  8. Not to mention the Versailles Treaty.
  9. I miss the days where the ideas of a few people weren't news!
  10. I'm pretty certain there will still be hate towards Trump in 12 years. But talking about his politics for another year isn't just hate. You simply don't change things from day to day (well, somethings you do) and it will be Trump's fiscal policy until the end of september
  11. I think you should listen a bit to what Antony Blinken said yesterday.
  12. Don't you worry. There's plenty of reason to blame him for at least a year.

  14. I simply love the random feeling of those selected...
  15. My slight knowledge from my two or three lectures on Chinese history only helped count out A
  16. How is that a 250.000 pts question on a sports forum?
  17. Yeah. They have a 20 man squad in Egypt of which 16 are active for the matches. At home they can have up to 15 reserves ready. They can make 5 changes during the Championships (not counting changes due to positive tests).
  18. Swedish media is calling that Idre Fjäll will host the ski- and boardercross.
  19. I see that the Dutch Government has ended up stepping down. Can you tell more about the situation, @heywoodu?
  20. Emil Jakobsen has tested positive. However there's a good chance that it's an old virus giving the positive as he was positive back in November as well.
  21. If (in theory) only about 35 % of the Japanese population decided to get vaccinated, it would be nowhere enough. Btw even without those extra 60 million doses, Japan would be set to get plenty. According to Bloomberg, 120 % of the population is covered. It's not quite Canada and UK who are set to be able to vaccinate everybody 3 times while the EU is at 183 %. But one thing is the hosts, most athletes are afterall from other countries.
  22. It has now been confirmed that Denmark is prepared to host instead of Belarus. Talks are also going on with Slovakia.
  23. Though much of Fox news has cut ties there are still some major supporters there. Meanwhile the last 4 years has showed quite a lot of what Trump on the ticket does. 2016 and 2020 were pretty good (sure they lost the presidency but down-ticket they did very well) while 2018 and the Special elections were pretty disasterous. Sure a lot vote for the party and not the person, but it would be crazy not to admit that he managed to get a lot of not so republican voters out there who could very well be lost again if he or people like him aren't there. Don't get me wrong, the Republican Party could certainly also end up lie before Trump again, but it is pretty damn uncertain.
  24. Cancelling half a year before would be way too drastic, especially considering that close to 1/4 of countries has started rolling out vaccines. The Olympics will without doubt need to do a lot of work to secure the bubbles of the athletes and helping athletes in especially Africa and small and/or poor countries would be a major boost as well. Sure, cancelling half a year in advance could be an economic solution, but in other ways it would not be the right way.
