  1. I guess that if they don't get kicked out this time after all the troubles with former president from Taipei and the Uzbek mafia man who actually controlled all the AIBA operations, they won't get kicked out anymore for the rest of the Olympic history... I don't know what else can they do to make it worse than now...
  2. yeah, but don't forget that most of the strongest European weightlifters weren't there... some of them because they come from suspended Countries and some others because they just didn't consider this tournament worth their presence... overall, the results obtained by most of the participants were very, very modest (even if they granted those athletes decent final placings at the end of the day)...
  3. well, we can say the same for all of Tischchenko's matches in Rio...he was literally driven to the Gold without deserving to win any single match he did fight... the truth is that in the last 2 Olympics we've seen some of the most shameful episodes of the history of the Games in the Boxing tournaments... after Beijing 2008 (and Milan 2009 Worlds, the last reasonably fair event) AIBA just fell down in a hole of "adjusted fights" and corruption that was rarely seen before (as I wrote, only in Seoul 1988 I saw even worse decisions)...
  4. great day for Hungary and very disappointing outcome for Italy (especially after the round of 16, when 4 of our guys made it through to the quarters, but they got no medal in the end)... overall, very poor finals...both of them being one-sided and without any pathos...
  5. Men's Individual Sabre (Seoul, KOR) Final Results: Gold: Aron Szilagyi (HUN) Silver: Kim Jung Hwan (KOR) Bronze: Kamil Ibragimov (RUS) & Eli Dershwitz (USA) Semifinals: Szilagyi b. Ibragimov 15-8 Kim b. Dershwitz 15-13 Gold Medal Match: Szilagyi b. Kim 15-7 Here is the Full Final Ranking (and Results) from Today's competition: http://fie.org/competitions/2018/165/results/rank
  6. Women's Individual Sabre (Seoul, KOR) Final Results: Gold: Olga Kharlan (UKR) Silver: Anna Marton (HUN) Bronze: Bianca Pascu (ROU) & Anna Limbach (GER) Semifinals: Kharlan b. Pascu 15-14 Marton b. Limbach 15-8 Gold Medal Match: Kharlan b. Marton 15-7 Here is the Full Final Ranking (and Results) from Today's competition: http://fie.org/competitions/2018/468/results/rank
  7. of course the biggest cheating happened in that final bout against Cammarelle (ITA), but the whole tournament was gifted to him by the corrupted judges (a few of them were even caught with their hands on the marmelade...ops...with money they shouldn't have on their accounts, I mean)... in round 1, he met Erislandy Savon (CUB) and it was a robbery, then he had a controversial win against the Chinese Zhang...after that, he robbed Ivan Dychko (KAZ) in the semifinal bout and finally there was that Gold medal bout, which is in my opinion second only to Roy Jones Jr.'s scandal in Seoul 1988... p.s. all those matches are still available on youtube...everybody can watch them...
  8. wow! 4 Italians (3 men and 1 woman) in the quarterfinals of the Sabre Grand Prix in Seoul (KOR) and not one of them who could go a step further... by the way, the semifinals are as follows: women: Olga Kharlan (UKR) vs Bianca Pascu (ROU) Anna Limbach (GER) vs Anna Marton (HUN) men: Kamil Ibragimov (RUS) vs Aron Szilagyi (HUN) Eli Dershwitz (USA) vs Kim Jung Hwan (KOR) semifinals and finals can be watched live in less than 20 minutes from now here:
  9. yes, they got the TV rights in Italy... I hope they're gonna show the finals sessions every day, but I fear that most of the times they will go with late night delayed broadcasts... in any case, I already know that on a channel like that we don't have a chance to even see the blades because of its poor picture quality... at least I hope that the live streaming won't be geo-blocked (they don't do it with the Judo Grand Prix events, so we still have a chance they won't do it also with this event )...
  10. London 2012 Gold Medal bout...just that should be enough (but I can add his entire AIBA career before that infamous day)... actually, it wasn't him directly, but still he was the one who got the benefit of that criminal afternoon... moreover, I've never liked him as a boxer...his style, his (poor) technical skills... obviously, I know it's gone beyond any reasonable analysis...at this point, it's something personal... but still...I just can't stand him...
  11. with the cheating coward Joshua involved, it can't be "the real stuff"...

Giulia LAMAGNA perde contro Ebonie Alice Lillie JONES (ENG) 0-5 57 KG. Irma TESTA vince contro Urguya US (TUR) 5-0 64 KG. Rebecca NICOLI vince contro Natalia BARBUSINSKA (POL) 5-0 60 KG. Francesca MARTUSCIELLO vince contro Nikoleta PITA (GRE) 3-2 69 KG. Monica FLORIDIA perde contro Natalia MARCZYKOWSKA (POL) 0-5 75 KG. Carlotta PAOLETTI perde contro Aoife O'ROURKE (IRL) 0-5

  18. starting with fireworks, so to say...
  19. here we go! today is the 2018 Opening Day in the MLB... in about a hour, the first game of the season (Chicago Cubs @ Miami Marlins) will be underway...followed by all the other 12 games (Pittsburgh @ Detroit and Washington @ Cincinnati have already been post-poned because of the inclement weather)... here's a guide to the Opening Day... https://www.mlb.com/news/mlb-2018-opening-day-games-and-schedule-guide/c-269482334 can't wait for the games start...

  22. non ci posso credere... lo prenderei a calci in culo da casa sua a Bolzano e ritorno...
  23. pienamente d'accordo
  24. in these days it's only about Hockey (with very few exceptions, like Golf, Biathlon and Fencing in the last weekend)... in particular, earlier today I watched game #7 of the quarterfinal series of the Czech Extraliga between Mountfield Hradec Kràlove and Bily Tigry Liberec... and later it's time for some NHL stuff from last night (I still have to decide if it's gonna be Nashville @ Winnipeg or Boston @ Minnesota )
