not the best morning for Italy... OK the 2 bronze medals in Kata (especially Busato's, with our guy consolidating his position in the world/Olympic ranking if compared with his main rivals for the last couple of spots in this discipline, Smorguner and Diaz), but really bitter loss by Crescenzo against the Kazakh no.2 in the men's -60kg Kumite (basically, 1 of the only 2 Kumite classes we have a chance to qualify through the ranking)...

so, in the men's 500m JPN (2), RUS, NED, KOR and CHN earned quota places in the women's 500m NED (2), JPN, RUS and KOR earned the available spots in the men's 1500m the quota places went to KOR, RUS (2), ITA, AUT & GER in the women's 1500m the spots were awarded to NED (2), POL, NOR & JPN p.s. the 6th spot in both women's disciplines will be reallocated, as NED had 3 girls among the top 6 in both races (but they couldn't get more than 2 spots)... and another thing to keep in mind, is that there's a limit of 3 skaters per NOC (per gender) to cover all the 3 events in the Lausanne 2020 schedule (500m, 1500m and Mass Start), therefore also 1 of the 4 NED women's spots would eventually be reallocated (the final decision of which they want to keep, I think it's up to the Dutch NOC)...
