  1. I don't agree at all...Neymar is only good in acting and diving and complaining... he shouldn't even be allowed to put a foot on the pitch...he's just a living insult to football and sportsmanship... sorry for being so harsh...actually, a real hater...but I just can't stand him...
  2. don't worry...Grenot is gonna win again in any case...

  4. she already said to the Swiss TV that she's definitely going to run the hurdles in Berlin...that's her only target, anything else is just in preparation for the 400m H in Berlin...
  5. really a great meet indeed... among others, great show by Adam Peaty in the men's quick breastroke (58 and a half over 100m and 26.41 over 50m -nobody outside him has ever swam a time like that) and wonderful fight between Pernille Blume and Sarah Sjostrom in the quick freestyle for the girls... another amazing result is the 21.16 over 50m free for Ben Proud... but overall almost all the races have been among the quickest in the world in this 2018 season so far... and we had also a lot of very promising results for the Italian team (the new IR by Panziera in the 200m back with a low 2.07 clocking is really impressive, she would have won the bronze medal in Rio with such performance)... now we have to wait and see if they can match all that in Glasgow next month, otherwise it would be another disappointing episode of which our swimming is full in its history...

  7. naaa, that don't impress me much (cit.) some time ago, in fact, someone told me that all women have 3 of those... p.s. just jokin' of course (and yeah, I know it's a dirty and male chauvinist sentence I shouldn't even use, especially since I'm against any sort of attitude like that)...
  8. from minute 50 on...last year's men's Italian Championships Individual Final (outside the Chinese Champs, basically the strongest event in the world in this discipline)... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dFHYuLKPzfE

  14. a few more news about the NHL offseason moves... first of all, the Tavares saga is not yet to the end...he needs (at least) another day to eat his own words from earlier this year, before explaining the Islanders fans he won't play anymore for that serial losers... https://www.nhl.com/news/john-tavares-decision-will-likely-take-another-day/c-299335806 then, Barry Trotz has finally found his successor in Washington...and he is, as the players wanted, his former assistent Todd Reirden (which means that Ovi and Backstrom are the new real co-coaches of the team )... https://www.nhl.com/news/todd-reirden-named-coach-of-washington-replaces-barry-trotz/c-299341596 finally, Drew Doughty agrees to 8-year contract extension with the Los Angeles Kings (terms undisclosed, since he can't officially sign until July 1st)... https://www.nhl.com/news/drew-doughty-agrees-to-eight-year-extension-with-los-angeles-kings/c-299348832
  15. you name it a "small joy"... should we have a prospect like him, I'd drink 1 or 2 bottles of the most expensive champagne...
  16. Sailing, Men's RS:X Matteo Camboni Louis Giard Matteo Evangelisti great scalp for Camboni...this was a really high caliber competition, with some of the best windsurfers in the World like Giard, Kokkalanis, Pastor Lafuente...
  17. ops...you're right...my mistake... however, the part "it is and it's always gonna be a mess" is not a mistake, unfortunately...
  18. Joris Otten in men's C1 (he was 53rd -out of 60 starters- in the 1st run and 31st -out of 40 starters- in the 2nd run, therefore he was eliminated) Claudia Leenders in women's K1* (29th in run #1, 27th in run #2...eliminated) Maartje Otten in women's K1 (44th in run #1, 22nd in run #2...eliminated) Martina Wegman in women's K1 (54th in run #1, 16th in run #2...eliminated) *61 starters in run #1, 41 in run #2 no Dutch starters this afternoon in men's K1 and women's C1
  19. watching the live streaming on the Olympic Channel, I guess... otherwise, here's a written (almost) live update of all the activities going on in Tarragona, Athletics included (but it's only in Italian and focused mainly on the Italian athletes, of course): https://www.oasport.it/2018/06/live-giochi-del-mediterraneo-2018-in-diretta-29-giugno-italia-serve-lo-scatto-per-vincere-il-medagliere/ p.s. I don't know how quickly they update it, but the official website is also a good source (once it's updated, obviously...and now it's working definitely better than in the early days)... http://results.tarragona2018.cat/en/ALL/schedule
  20. well, next time they should be held in Naples... but I want to underline the conditional auxiliary "should"...because basically there's nothing ready with only 3 years to go and the organizing committee is doing absolutely nothing (not even the refurbishing of the San Paolo Stadium, which is mandatory for SSC Napoli to play at home the next Champions League -since in the past years they received a special permission by UEFA, which is now over and it won't be renovated...now they must do some consistent works to the stadium, but all is stopped at the moment)... in fact, the local organizers have been replaced by a special commission named by CONI and the local prefectural authorities... in any case, it's a real mess now and it's gonna be the same also in the next future... EDIT: there's a big mistake...the Universiade will be in Naples, not the MGs (which will be in Algeria), as explained in the following posts... p.s. the rest of this post in any case is the sad truth, even if it's referred to the Universiade and not to the MGs...
  21. Spanovic (one of my favourite athletes overall...you can imagine why? ) beyond 7m in the women's long jump...
  22. very optimistic... I'd cut immediately Baseball off (there's no way we can beat the Netherlands with the current federation's management)... then, it would really take a miracle to qualify in women's Hockey and Softball... I'd rather give women's basketball a chance (if we somehow get to qualify for the 2019 Europeans, which is the most difficult task for us at the moment)... meanwhile, if we want to have a pessimistic view, we could say that we're going to qualify only in the 2 waterpolo tournaments and maybe 3x3 women's basketball (with the new rules, even volleyball, especially the men's team, is really at risk)...
  23. the bronze medallist is Magnaldi, not Mignaldi...
  24. Judo (Gold medal) Finals (@ 5 p.m. CET) women's -48kg: Nikolic vs Figueroa Pena women's -52kg: Giuffrida vs Krasniqi women's -57kg: Boi vs Gjakova men's -60kg: Garrigos Rosa vs Dhouibi men's -66kg: Lombardo vs Gaitero Martin
  25. Men's Cycling, Road Race Jalel Duranti Filippo Tagliani Rafael Silva
