  3. and it's 4 wins in a day for Italy! unfortunately, today it's just another day... and the men's team Foil ended up only 3rd in Tokyo, after a shameful loss (by 15 hits) in the semifinal match vs

  7. yes, at least when it's about Moroccans enjoying a win of their football team (actually, it's the first time a foreign community goes on the streets for that reason). normally, the troubles here start only when people show up for political reasons.
  8. yeah, last time there were no major accidents...let's hope it stays like that, just joy without idiots spoiling the party we'll see tomorrow the final reports on the night.

  11. Milan, province of Casablanca, act II fireworks like it's New Year's Night
  12. let's turn things around... if the Russians are allowed to comeback to the world of Olympic sport, do you think some Nations could boycott the Games? (and the qualifications events featuring them) personally, I hope in a clear statement from the top world powerhouses saying: "it's us or them", no margin for any compromise. and not because of this fuckin' war, but because to me Russia still haven't paid the prize of their State organized blatant cheat between 2008 and 2014 (at least, but I'm sure they did it also in the last 8 years and watching some of their internal events this year, they're still doin' it in force). p.s. I still hope Macron has the balls to say: "you cantake all the decisions you want, in any case I will never allow a Russian citizen to enter the French territory until any sanction related to the war is in place. point. like it or not. Bach sucks. Fuck him. it would be a way to get a good result in a wrong way, but still.
  13. and don't forget the women...we have an all-Italian affair in the first semifinal (Criscio vs Mormile), which means we have at least a girl in the final for the second WC stage in a row.
  14. no injury...she just lost her focus and went from a 6-3 lead to a 6-15 loss in 55 seconds. p.s. among the top 16, Volpi is 30, the Korean Oh is 37...all the other 14 are 28 or less... and among the top 32, there are only 3 more women just over 30. I wouldn't say it was a competition "full of grandmas".

  17. crazy night in Bogotà... first, the great Chen Lijun gets beaten by the hometown hero Mosquera despite a good lead taken in the Snatch phase in the -67kg, then Indonesia makes an unbelievable double in the men's -73kg, where Gold and Bronze medallists came directly from Group B (shame on the technical committee ).

  21. well, imho we should split the weight classes till the Lightweights (where Europe should be treated like any other Continent, as there are more or less the same amount of good fighters in all the zones all around the Globe) and from Welterweights on (where it's almost only about Europe, with very few exceptions coming from the Panamerican zone and/or Oceania mainly*)... *someone could say that Asia also has Nations like and a few others, but to me those Nations are only competitive if they can benefit of corrupted judges...almost all of their medallists in the past have always been far away from being even decent fighters, reaching those results only because of...we know...
