  1. however, I'm still asking myself how could lose that match vs ?
  2. I'd really like to know their pusher...he must have a lot of good things...
  3. and it's ahead! 2-1 for them...both the Europeans are out right now
  4. right now, 1st and 2nd but if and both win, then are out (and wins the group).
  5. I think it's more our NF that hopes that was the plan since the beginning... not sure the family (and especially Lara) thinks the same. we'll see when she turns 18 and has to make the final choice before the 3-year IOC rule about changing Nationality. P.s. personally, I hope she will never compete for Italy and I hope she wins more races and titles than all the Italian skiers all together...just to let the whole world know how stupid are the people running the Italian Winter Sports
  6. because of the system and the opportunities she wouldn't have in a short time staying in Italy... here there's no chance for a girl (or a boy) to jump from the age groups to the senior NT, you have to be named for the junior squad and competing in the age class races, then if you win a couple of those races, you can be named to the B squad and start in the European Cup races and only if you win (or at least constantly make the podium) in that competition, then you can be named for the senior squad. no way you can miss some steps. it would take at least 1 year to climb all the ladder, wasting time, money and with a big chance of being stuck under a coach that can't develop such talent. moreover, when you are in the "minor" or youth teams, you just can't have a personal coach and training staff, you have to stay with the whole team and with the coaches named by the NF, which was the main point of the controversy between Lara's family and our NF (they always said that the point is not to waste her talent training with people 2+ seconds behind her on a 30-sec training run...and they also didn't want her to be forced to train only in the technical disciplines, when she's considered a big talent also in the speed events* -and here in the youth classes there's no way to be an all-rounder). *Lara said to the main sport website just this morning that she's going to start also in Super-G, especially in St.Moritz, where she's used to train and knows the track very well. p.s. she also said that she considers Skiing a totally individual sport, like tennis, golf and so on, therefore I don't think she's going to get back to a big National Team like Italy in a short time, unless she gets a written contract saying she can do whatever she wants. and despite not closing the door once and forever, she said that she's not considering a comeback to Italy right now (no idea of how some Italian media made a different interpretation of her words, maybe it's just the beginning of a stalking strategy)... I think she's stricter than her family on this point.
  7. Well, that's the actual data... If you just want the number to remember for the ages, then ok, but you won't find anything impressive in a relatively small Country.
  8. Still, tv networks and advertisers always look carefully at those data, as they're only interested in the people who actually are watching and are their target. So, I wouldn't name them "less important", even if they obviously have to be put in the right context.
  9. Nowakowska knows it! She's a true expert...
  10. Well, actually the tv share is the only objective and correct way to measure the audience. A simple number of people doesn't say anything if it's not related to the total population of the Country and the number of people in front of their tv screen in that moment.
  11. Do you really think that? In Italy I already see some tv networks fighting each other hard to buy the rights of that league and broadcast every CR7 match live, even ahead of some EPL or German Bundesliga classic.
  12. He was hit by a truck while training. No chance to survive, unfortunately. Italian roads are really a graveyard for cyclists of any age and any level.
  13. 4 years ago all the 32 teams scored at least 2 goals
  14. great news for many European Athletics fans... Eurosport/Discovery media bought the TV & Internet rights of the 2023 World Athletics Championships to be held in Budapest more than 45 European Countries will be able to watch the event on the linear TV Channels Eurosport 1 & Eurosport 2 (the deal doesn't include the Nordic Countries: ) and stream all the events on the Eurosport OTT (in also on Discovery Plus). important note: the agreement is, as usually happens for Eusp/Discovery, on non-exclusive basis, which means that the National TV Networks can still make a deal with ESPN and Eurovision Sports, the rightholders and distributors. https://www.eurosport.com/athletics/warner-bros.-discovery-secures-rights-to-broadcast-the-2023-world-athletics-championships_sto9248427/story.shtml https://www.insidethegames.biz/articles/1130950/warner-bos-athletics#:~:text=The Budapest 2023 World Athletics, stream the event on discovery%2B.
  15. Terrible night for our TV expert Lele Adani and his obsession for South American Football... no "garra Charrua" tonight...
  16. my picks would be: Nils Van Der Poel as the best man and best performance (sorry for Mondo, but he will have many more chances to win a lot of prizes), Sara Hector best woman, Team Edin best Team and the Beach Volleyball duo as the newcomers of the year.
  17. those covering the rainbow "things" are just a bunch of amateurs if compared to the Chinese TV. I'm not sure if that's completely true, but I saw some tweets about the Chinese TV not showing any stands' picture after the anti-lockout protests started a few days ago just to deny that the rest of the world has finally gone beyond and people are allowed to walk around (even fill a stadium) without too many covid concerns...
  18. also @heywoodu I don't know how to translate this in an exact number of viewers, but the TV ratings look excellent... https://www.lance.com.br/fora-de-campo/opiniao-audiencia-estrondosa-da-globo-mostra-o-poder-do-produto-copa-do-mundo.html
  19. no, that's not good...he should have switched to Italy! and of course also this option is now dead and gone...
  20. @thiago_simoes by the way, now I finally understand why the Chinese girls are always the best on the Balance Beam... it's easy after this kind of training sessions
  21. surely all of them had a great season and deserve any honorable mention... but to me the winner is and always will be...
  22. most likely, by given name and/or nickname...hope not by number (would be so sad)...
