  1. Mixed Team 25m Rapid Fire Pistol and Men's Team 25m Rapid Fire Pistol competitions have been cancelled because of lack of participants. therefore, this first Rifle & Pistol World Cup stage is over. next stop, in Cairo from February 17th through to February 24th, always with the Rifle & Pistol specialists.
  2. Mixed Team 50m 3-Position Rifle Gold: Switzerland 1 Silver: Switzerland 2 Bronze: Kazakhstan 2 Final Ranking and Results https://www.issf-sports.org/competitions/venue/csevent.ashx?cseventid=17507
  3. FIS points for sure... most likely, some financial support by their respective NF, too then, I don't know what else might be at stake for them, if not the personal pride of being among the top 10/15 of a world competition.
  4. https://worldathletics.org/news/press-releases/ana-approval-russia-february-2023 6 Russian athletes have been reinstated to the international competitions as Neutral Athletes (ANA) from Tomorrow by World Athletics: Danil Chechela and Artem Chermoshanskiy (men's Long Jump) Maksim Pianzin (men's Race Walking) Nikita Anishchenkov and Nikita Kurbanov (men's High Jump) Marina Kovaleva (women's Long Distance Running)
  5. by the way, now this is going to be an easy gold for Shiffrin. Gritsch now might be the favourite to the silver medal and Brignone hopefully could hold up to Holdener and Gisin's attempts to comeback (especially Wendy).
  6. all the combined events are a joke to me... in the modern era, the speed disciplines and slalom are basically 2 different sports. trying to mix them up, it's a senseless and useless attempt, just a way to multiply the number of medals awarded and increase the tv time to make athletes and sponsors happy. and the same goes for parallel and team events (which moreover are also unfair, as there's no track where the 2 sides are even close to being equal). imho, the 4 individual events (slalom, GS, superG and DH) are more than enough. and not having more farcical events, would make them even more important, as there would be less people capable of calling themselves World (Olympic) Champion.
  7. I didn't know he is one of that kind...I thought he was a somehow reasonable scientist... it looks I was wrong big time, so...he's just a catastrophist looking for worldwide attention...
  8. Holdener not so well... the slalom stint might be more interesting than expected (at least for silver & bronze).
  9. Sofia has finished her race! that's great news! however, she really took only a training run (and made a lot of mistakes). we'll see on Wednesday, but my feeling is not so good, tbh. Gritsch might be a dangerous outsider for the secondary medals, now.
  10. a total disaster... it's already an area hit by disgrace because of the Syrian civil war and now this one...good luck to them! p.s. someone however already knew it was coming...
  11. only those who have TIM as the internet provider (actually, it's the majority of people here). I'd say that they had what they deserve for staying for that bunch of thieves and technological troglodytes

  16. Sofia is only starting in the SG stint, just as a warm up for the actual SG race (among the top skiers, Gut is also very unlikely to take part into the slalom race). hope she's not gonna do any disaster... my heartbeat rate is already well above the average...

  18. they just can't do it... NCAA "property" (aka their competitions) is protected and responds only and exclusively to their laws (which are absolutely in contrast with common sense and all the International rules, especially in terms of doping and marketing).
  19. you can always catch up with those events in the next few days...
  20. it looks that IJF has already lifted their ban on Russian & Belarussian athletes and they will be able to comback from the Grand Slam tournament following the next one in Tel Aviv... I really hope that those are just rumors with no real consistency...
  21. first gold medal of the season for our team finally, some good, clean, spectacular action by the man who doesn't always use his brain as he should do on the ice, aka Pietro Sighel...
