Federer91 got a reaction from MHSN in Wrestling 2024 Discussion Thread
Both Ramazanov brothers are living in my city, when they are not in training camps with the NT. I believe the documents are in order, as the coaches will heavily push both of them for quotas. On the other hand, this is yet another foreigner bought, which is not sitting very well with me. The quality of Bulgarian wrestlers has decreased immensely, that any outsider can come in easily win the weight on a National level..

No, it's an outdoor sport in the elements, everyone should adapt to whatever their abilities are. If you are not confident in these conditions you can ski slower and more careful like many did. Injuries happen more often in bright sunny races, people need to stop scapegoathing the weather conditions.

Ledecka winning to the surprise of no one. Too bad Hoffmeister made a mistake in the final as everyone wanted to see a full showdown between the two.

Rado Yankov makes the podium in third. His first podium in 6 years.
Danielle Bagozza with a flying win in the Italian final against Coratti, as he dominated in the slower red course.

Nice to see Ester Ledecka honoring Bulgaria with her rare return to snowboard these days. Rado Yankov with a 4th place in the Q will give him a nice position to attack a podium.

Yeah, this is devastating.. Not only because of the injury, but the timing of it is absolutely brutal. At home snow, long awaited starts for everyone with terrific attendance
I didn't watch the first run, but will have to check something before the second. What kind of a course is it, the margins are gigantic. Is the weather bad? What the heck is going on.

Federer91 reacted to hckošice in Alpine Skiing FIS World Cup 2023 - 2024
Yesterday it rained all day on the already strongly watered track day before. and then last night was extremely cold here around -20, it was still terribly freezing in the morning.
So the first skiers went on an literally absolute ice, Even the forerunners were crashing like potatoes, Nicole Hosp working for ORF crashed as well which resulted the start being postponed 10 minutes, also Adam Žampa is in hospital (was the forerunner as well and crashed as well...just being confirmed by his brother)...
..Brignone with Bib 1 DNF after like 4 gates, Lara Gut was skiing with bib 3 extremely slowly and carefully, Petra with BIB 4 crashed after 9 gates (sadly her skis did not come off and the next crash to the barriers was the tragic problem ), Grenier with bib 5 was quite unsure during her race and Bassino with Bib 6 was literally braking the whole piste and ended 8 seconds back... the latter bibs had the track a bit better with some snow covering the ice later

We are submitting all of our best lifters (bar the injured David Fischerov) with the ambition to win the medal table and of course get good lifts for the Olympic ranking. Expectations are for 5 golds at 55, 61, 67, 89 and 109. For the women's team it would be good if they can get one medal, as most of the girls are young and are there for a participation in a big event.
BG Men's Team:
55 kg - Angel Rusev & Dzhan Zarkov
61 kg - Ivan Dimov & Gabriel Marinov
67 kg - Valentin Genchev & Dian Pampordzhiev
73 kg - Bozhidar Andreev
81 kg - none..
89 kg - Karlos Nasar
96 kg - none..
102 kg - Vasil Marinov
109 kg - Hristo Hristov
109+ kg - none
BG Women's Team:
45 kg - Nadezhda Mey-Nguen & Boyana Kostadinova
49 kg - Reni Ruseva & Silvia Angelova
55 kg - Magdalena Dimitrova
59 kg - none
64 kg - Galya Shatova
71 kg - Maria Arnaudova
76 kg - Sofia Stefanova
81 kg - none
87 kg - none
87+ kg - Dzhesika Ivanova

So they tweaked the schedule as to not have matches go late into the night huh And in a true AO fashion we are seeing almost every day late finishers. Even more regularly than in previous years.

Federer91 got a reaction from dullard in Summer Olympic Games Paris 2024 News
Out of the gazillion issues with the IOC, the roster sizes of the team sports is amongst the least problematic in my view. 12 in volleyball is perfectly fine, give me more individual quotas in 15 other sports.

Day 1 hasn't even ended and i'm already sick of Eurosport's pampering of Kyrgios as their commentator.. They spend 20 minutes before the match on him and i'm afraid how much more in the next 2 weeks. It wouldn't be a problem if it was some tennis legend, a 6-7 time GS champion and not a moronic clown.

Novak having his hands full. 2.5 hours for only 2 sets and 4 games. This Prizmic kid has a future.

At this point, i'm expecting Andreas Prommegger to still get podiums in his 50s.

Very, very sad news Has Kilde now reached Svindal in number of injuries. I have lost the count of how many seasons he has left prematurely now. Both Norwegians achieved so much in their careers, but a big "what if" will loom on the full potential they could have had, if not for the frequent injuries.

Sarrazin is definitely the revelation of the season. A GS only specialist up to a year ago, who stayed mostly in the European Cup and missed almost 3 full season between 2017 to 2020 is making a breakthrough at 30 years old. Currently he is the only guy capable of challenging Odermatt in the speed events. The French are desperately needing a new face to fight for podiums.

Agree. But canceling half of the DHs and not having where to replace them is also an issue. A season with only 4 DH equally devalues the World Cup.
They tried optimizing the calendar with making technical and speed weekends, but that works when we run everything normally and cancel 7 out of the first 10 events.. Now they can't catch up, because the speed weekends are already stacked up and you can't add to resorts, which are having only GS & Slaloms.
