  1. AAArrrrgggggg , or the main point of this karate discipline. It's like someone was a fan of 70-90s karate movies and their poses and screams and made a "sport" out of it.
  2. Don't like your table, Bulgaria at 8-9 feels much better.
  3. Is there an official distance for the lanes in the discus / hammer throws? For some reason, i find the lanes here very narrow.
  4. And we have our very first belly flop Gyurov watching from the best, that the last hurdle is the "run through it" one..
  5. Don't like Apps, which force you to register... Especially, when i'm going to use the App for only 7 days.
  6. Stable performance on day 2 keeps us mid table and away from the bottom. Hopefully Nacheva won't flop in the triple jump and be around 4th-5th or so. Our unofficial battle with Slovakia is still very close.
  7. Can't kill something, that's already dead.
  8. The statisticians will say, if this was our strong day, or not, but i'm satisfied with the performance. It was better, then the grim expectations i had and the table looks good for now. Now, on to the night massacre, as in football qualifiers and volleyball Nations league.
  9. Interesting that our strongest discipline in the last 20 years, the women's 100 meters, was one of our worst tonight. But no Ivet Lalova leads to that. She had 7 first place finishes over the years and holds the Cup's all time best time of 10.77, which of 2 years ago, was in the top 10 all time list.
  10. A pet peeve of mine, whenever i see such empty stands.. Don't know why the host doesn't organize school field trips. Like how many schools are there in Krakow, 20? You can bring children from age 8 to 15 and make it a mandatory sports going. The parents can come too. Then you have these children watch some semi-professional sport and there is some attendance...
  11. Managed to beat us on that one, darn it.
  12. Lol, if our commentator is to be believed, this 800m result, is the fastest Bulgarian time in 27 years.
  13. There is probably a genius reason, why we have 3 women's throwing events tonight, when it is a 3 day event, but i can't think of any.
  14. Slovakia is not going to be relegated
  15. Good 400 m and Shot Put to kick things off for us. The hammer was never going to happen either way, so that was expected. If we keep these 8-12 places, there is a chance to stay.
  16. Eagerly awaiting the beginning of our path to relegation Athletics is almost on amateur level here at this point, which is quite fascinating, when you factor in, that once upon a time this country was winning Olympic medals and titles in this sport. It would make a good story to write for a historical perspective.
  17. BNT looks to have a larger program, then Eurosport here, from the early schedule. I see smaller sports like shooting and canoeing, boxing with the Olympic quotas, lower tier athletics division (where we are going to perform) being on TV early on. Looks like they will switch whenever we have Bulgarian participation.
  18. THIS is the real deal! Imagine being a so called "big event" and not knowing the athletes, which are going to compete just a week before it starts. This is a tremendous failure for everyone involved, but especially the hosts. Delegations are going to start arriving this week, i'm hoping they at least know where to house them..
  19. Amazing Djokovic His achievements are unbelievable and he is not done yet. Those records are going to be extended. The dedication of his is probably amongst the very best of all athletes in history.
  20. That is a contrast to here, where people usually yawn at the "Who is the next beautiful girl, that Grigor Dimitrov is dating.
  21. For this being the 100th Anniversary of the first Le Man, they have done a piss poor job of promoting it. FIA should have been running a campaign for months leading to it, like for a blockbuster movie, as to make it a real big, big event. Especially now, that so many of the big brands have returned to the new top class and the win is not a forgone conclusion. They couldn't even schedule it properly and it's going to play second fiddle to Roland Garros and the Champions League final. Is there a logical reason, or any reason at all, why it is not run next weekend? I would have understood, if it was the same dates like the first Le Man, but it's not even that, as that one was in late May. Also, we have a Moto GP round this weekend, which i probably say it every year, but can't comprehend how FIA still can't make a calendar, where there are no other races during the Le Mans weekend.. Anyways, hoping for a real battle and someone else, beside Toyota winning. Time for some change.
  22. Are we in the "special shoes" era? WR started falling like this is swimming 😅
  23. Eurosport is going to be showing the EG - fantastic news! Will have to see, what kind of schedule they will have, but either way, some online streams would still be required i reckon.
  24. To be honest, i hadn't heard of most of our players, as they are switching the roster with a new generation, but i am liking the attitude and play they showed. But as per tradition, we lost 2 matches, which we should have won, after leading a great deal of the game. With this play having only 1 win after the first week is a disappointment, even with the injury of our captain. Hopefully this team can upgrade both mentally and tactically.
  25. Some people still think this is a war they could win. They never learn, when you close one, others pop-up to fill the void. The message they left, though probably fairly accurate, is strangely timed, just as our simpleton politicians are going to introduce a new law forced by the US/EU. https://torrentfreak.com/iconic-torrent-site-rarbg-shuts-down-all-content-releases-stop-230531/ PS. I saw some mirrors still running, so the site isn't fully dead yet.
