  1. What about Biden? No vote to him as well? I don't think Bloomberg will win enough delegates on his own. His best chance is in a brokered convention. And if DNC selects Bloomberg ahead of Bernie, I do suspect that Bernie might go ahead and contest as an Independent. So, you might not have to waste your vote on Hawkins or La Riva but can instead waste it on Bernie.
  2. *And so begins the battle for democratic nomination between an independent and an ex-Republican.

  5. Or a sign that you have a functioning brain?
  6. This banding was not done on any proper analysis but on the basis of the results posted here and 3-4 iterations that I did with some randomness to get a feel about the test. So, of course it has a mistake. Even I was not very keen on putting both of them with the extremes but somehow they always ended up with them in my iterations. I think Gabbard might also fall in that same band but gets excused because of too many question marks.
  7. On almost all the major questions, there is not much difference in the candidates. I think for a couple of questions, it is literally all the candidates agreeing to the same stand. Gabbard and Klobuchar are artificially low in this because their views are not known about 4 and 5 questions respectively. Among the rest, there are 2 groups: Group of Sanders, Warren, Buttigieg and Steyer while rest all seem to be the centrists.
  8. With less than 6 months to go for Olympics, a big blow to Momota. He was among the top players in 2016 as well but missed Rio Olympics due to gambling. Now this.
  9. My reading: IOA is interested in hosting Olympics but they are not getting any political backing for the same from the government.
  10. Nope. She only needs to lift 195-198 range to ensure Olympic medal. Apart from the Chinese and North Korean, there is no one else who has lifted 192+ consistently in last two years. So, Mirabai is our safest medal bet. Moreoever, due to restriction of only 4 lifters per country, there is a decent chance that atleast one of China and North Korea will skip this weight, increasing our medal chances and color.
  11. Nice consistent throwing by Neeraj Chopra. Seeing the video of the throw, I have doubts whether this meet would count towards Olympic qualification but this was Neeraj's first competition since injury layoff and he has lots of time to qualify. As far as medal chances is concerned, at present I would say Magnus Kirt and the Germans are the favourites. If Neeraj can throw 87+ consistently, he would be in the group chasing the favourites.
  12. As someone who started watching basketball during the Shaq-Kobe era, who has been a Laker fan ever since, I am devastated at this tragedy. For me, Kobe is not about the points scored or championships won but about what can be achieved through sheer hard work and perseverance. Apart from being one of the best players of the game, he was also an excellent student of the game. I am sure he would have been an amazing coach in the future as well.

  15. Congrats Romania. Proud of the Indian team. Now lets try and get the 9th position.
  16. Sutirtha Mukherjee Now over to Manika to take us to Olympics.
  17. Manika Batra by a margin. We have lots of hope from 19 year old Archana Girish Kamath as well but she is still in early days of her senior career. Not sure why she was not fielded today. She won the decider against the Swedes after being 2-1 down.
  18. What an amazing performance by Manika Batra. I know, it won't be enough and Samara and Szocs will win the next two singles but still happy with the performance so far. Doubles team also played well before losing 2-3.
