But, the additional time that individuals got to confirm their MER is to increase number of NOCs at Olympics. Basically, some leeway for universality quotas. It is FIG job to be clear about qualifications. Even if nobody claimed they qualified, it is still FIG’s job to come out and tell if Asian championships are going to be held or not and if they aren’t being held, who will qualify.
