  1. I am counting 32 teams: x2 x1
  2. If I remember correctly, is next in line to get this quota.
  3. I agree. Rules were clear about this. Slovakia won those quotas fair and square.
  4. To be fair, Archery had an established Mixed Team legacy in World Cups and Championships. ISSF had no such event and had to create 3 Mixed Team events from scratch to retain 3 Gold medals. If you look at Mixed Team events in the present Olympic cycle, this thing is visible a lot. There has been a lot of changes in their format. And ISSF is already developing Mixed team events for other disciplines as well, so that for the next Olympic, they can try and add 3 more Gold medals without any increase in quota places. I agree that instead of giving out Mixed team quota and allowing the same athlete to win 2 quotas was simply wrong. They should have simply given the Mixed team quota winners a quota in each of the individual events (like Archery) but at that time, nobody knew how the Mixed team events would develop. So, in my opinion, the main problem was the hurried manner in which Mixed team events were rushed in Olympics.
  5. I don't think we can reallocate Yuki's potential quota to Sumit even if we wanted to. But at this point, I don't think many of us are sure of anything, and it is mainly assumptions.
  6. In that case, my mistake.
  7. Minions missing out on a medal would be a great tragedy. They have dominated the MD scene for some time. They deserve the Gold medal.
  8. Since, refused quota for Andrej Martin, I assumed they refused for Jozef Kovalik. Similarly, I didn't count because they are an obvious choice for a NOC that could have refused. But, I did miss . For some reason, Wiki list is skipping these 3 ( and ), am assuming that they are expected to decline but we don't have confirmed data.
  9. Indian media is reporting that Sumit Nagal (WR 144) has been invited by ITF for singles. Taking Wiki list as base, I still see ahead of us and 4 spots empty. So, am assuming that either there are more withdrawals or one of these declined the quota. Next 3 should be and
  10. Women's 49kg (because I would be rooting for Mirabai )
  11. India safest medal pick: 1) Saikhom Mirabai Chanu - Women's Weightlifting, most likely Silver, 5% chance of Gold or Bronze 2) 10m Mixed Pistol Team 3) Ravi Dahiya - Men's Freestyle Wrestling 57kg
  12. Not counting the ones already mentioned 1-4: Women's Weightlifting - China 5-6: Basketball - USA
  13. team was ranked 6th in Race to Tokyo. So, they along with , the second team and were unseeded. Group D also has 3 teams in top 10: and . Group B has and alongside , all three are good. I think we have clear favourites only in Group C where I think and are much better than and . What is different is our group doesn't have a weak team.
  14. In principle I agree but you don’t change the rules at the end.
  15. Erik Varga and Zuzana won the Mixed team quota and also individual quotas. So, going by rules, can pick these two using Mixed team quota and two different shooters for individual quota and all 4 can start in both individual and team events via double starter rule.
  16. [hide] Knockout Round Final Date & Time (GMT +2, CEST) Nation 1 T1 T2 Nation 2 July 11th 2021, h. 21:00 Italy 1 2 England [/hide]
  17. Not true. ‘s quota in M67 was reallocated to next best Oceanian NOC.
  18. I think was also near 140. And like we also don’t have a single Men’s player qualified.
  19. [hide] Knockout Round - Medal Matches July 2nd - July 10th, 2021 Third Place Match Date & Time (GMT -3) Nation 1 T1 T2 Nation 2 July 9th 2021, h. 21:00 Colombia 2 0 Peru Final Date & Time (GMT -3) Nation 1 T1 T2 Nation 2 July 10th 2021, h. 21:00 Argentina 1 2 Brazil [/hide]
  20. China, Korea, Japan, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Colombia nobody has skipped 67. Considering Jeremy's luck, I am pretty sure IWF will give Samoa's quota to Kiribati as well.
  21. I remember was next in line if refused their 109+ quota. Not sure if they accepted or not. Maybe @heywoodu can help.
  22. I am assuming even you would keep 67kg quota.
  23. Honestly I don't see how anyone can blame AFI for this? He was outside the rankings initially, so they didn't forward his name. When there seemed a hope that he can qualify with a couple of withdrawals, they started the formalities. They couldn't name him in the squad until his qualification was confirmed by WA. IOA is notorious for creating problems but am sure in the end, they will easily relent and accept his name as well.
  24. Chen Long going for the elusive Swimming/Badminton double
