  1. "Has he blown up a little bit, Bart?" "Looks like vd Poel is dropping down A BIT."
  2. Nah, they were already drooling over him when he was 20th. "Oh, he is Dutch MTB champion. Oh, he is Dutch cyclo-cross champion, OH OH! And road champion."
  3. Grass is green, water is wet, Red Bull commentators are obsessed with vd Poel.
  4. Schurter has been spamming a lot of pictures of his new bike on Instagram these last few days, so it must be something special.
  5. They'll both be classified with -1LAP; so Mourao can say it's a tie.
  6. I wouldn't mind having 18 equestrian events at the Olympics. All these non-Olympic events are much more developed than some of the events that are being forced into Olympics these days...
  7. Ladislav Majdlen in men's vaulting at Aachen 2006.
  8. We will have 37 athletes. Much more than I expected. Our sports are athletics, beach handball (both teams), judo, rowing, sailing, shooting, sport climbing, swimming, table tennis, weightlifting.
  9. All-time medal table: I wonder if we could have a first time medalist in Tryon. I guess these nations should have a chance: Bahrain - endurance Colombia - jumping, vaulting Egypt - jumping Israel - jumping Japan - eventing, para-dressage Latvia - para-dressage Mexico - jumping Oman - endurance Uruguay - endurance Some of these are very much outsiders, but hopefully at least one of them willl make it!

  11. And it's gold for Kostevych, following a pistol malfunction in the 3rd shoot-off series.
  12. What a final! Now going into 4th shoot-off for the gold!!
  13. Quotas for in women's 25m pistol. Monika Karsch finishes 5th... Looks like she plans to continue her pre-Rio trend of having million near-misses qualificationwise.
  14. Why are only 2/3 current contests featured on the home page?
  15. Pitty we can't hear what the cyclists were saying.
  16. Botswana hosted African Youth Games, making them infinently more experienced than Senegal.
  17. Who is Thomas Bach? A personification of pop culture?
  18. Funny thing is that they can still exchange a quota if there's nobody left with MQS in trap, so in theory you don't even need a MQS there.
  19. Well... Good for them, but it is unfair IMO. Especially in a sport that was previously a model example of how one person can't bring more than one quota to his/her country. In fact, I don't think it's possible in any other sport for one person to earn more than one spot... Obviously, there are specific examples like swimming relays where one swimmer could help more than one relay. But in canoeing for example if you qualify in both K1 and K2 then your nation can still send only two different athletes and not three.
