  1. 70.140% for Bettina Jager with many cheap mistakes... Spain should be quite safe.
  2. Yeah, it looks like. There is an external site for eventing though.
  3. Shingo Hayashi completes the test with 20-year old Exquis Clearwater, a horse that competed all the way back at Beijing 2008. That is crazy.
  4. Nice to have Karen Pavicic commentating dressage on FEItv.
  5. Colleen Loach opens the eventing competition with 34.40 penalties. Canada is the first to go just like in Rio, that's some rotten luck... Meanwhile, awful dressage competition for continues. Godinho well below his seasonal performances...
  6. But enough about endurance (AKA the worst organized global competition in post-1908 Olympics era...). Cathrine Dufour & Cassidy sadly couldn't be in Tryon, but they are definitely in cheering mode. It should be a real exciting battle between Denmark and Spain for the final Olympic spot. Spain currently has just over 2% lead, and I'd expect Bachmann to have an edge over Jurado (but not more than 1%). So it will all come down to Jager vs Castilla Ruiz probably, and that should be anyone's game.
  7. The one thing I liked is the use of background music in dressage arena, which was perfectly synchronized with the movements (and that's not a requirement, it's just supposed to be muffle the sounds from audience). Steffen Peters & Suppenkasper doing huge extended trots to David Guetta's When Love Takes Over was something else. But yes, that's literally the only positive thing about the organization so far.
  8. Well, the horses passed 70km, so they are not exactly fresh the next day. Really sucks for Spain, as instead of going home with at least 3 endurance medals, they will be going home with nothing from this WEG...
  9. Imagine to be using super glitchy live streams and results sites for a hours, and then to eventually have Totallympics not working too... Unbelieveable.
  10. Individual endurance cancelled Team endurance cancelled Team reining United States - 681.0 Belgium - 671.5 Germany - 666.5 First perfect prediction for me. So the eventful first day ends. A day which featured all four seasons, torrential rain (multiple times), bright sunshine, winds, floods, flying objects, thunder and lightnings, etc.
  11. Yep, endurance was an epic mess. From slightly delayed start, to unmarked course and riders getting lost, to cancellation of loop 1, to another big delay, and finally a cancellation with a lot of controversy. Several team officials started pushing each other, and the Spaniards were particularly angry. So I imagine it's completely cancelled, rather than counting the 2 completed loops and giving medals based on that.
  12. Good rides from Kim, Siu and Manfredi to finish of the first day of dressage. Finally some respectable scores for the smaller nations.
  13. Endurance standings after 2/4 loops... Individual Luque Moral Punti Dachs Frances Team Spain France Oman
  14. Bright sun and torrential rain at the same time? Just about perfect conditions for Minderhoud.
  15. Uruguayans dropped like flies after the 2nd loop. Eliminated from both individual and team competition... is out of team event too. Spain has 4 riders in top 5...
  16. Updates on dressage... Juliette Ramel missed a chance to become an individual leader, but wasted it with a mistake. Still 2nd place with 75.2%. Brett Parbery delivered perhaps my favorite test of the day in terms of harmony, and yet he got only 70%, because you know, Australia is too exotic for these unbelieveably closed-minded judges.. Anders Dahl scored 68%, much like I expected, bad for Denmark. Beatriz Ferrer-Salat got almost 73%, so Spain is looking quite good for qualification. And finally, Annabelle Collins delivered a very smart test for Bermuda.

  18. I'm fighting with glitchy results sites and live streams for a whole day and now even Totallympics is not working. Come on.
  19. Indeed, @Wanderer how much did the Kiwis pay for this one?
  20. Endurance race has apparently been completely restarted. So now it will be 4 loops and 120km, instead of the usual 160km distance. Standings after loop 1/4... Individual Jaume Punti Dachs Alex Luque Moral Fauiz Al-Turkomani Team Spain United Arab Emirates Uruguay Uruguay is going really well! Bahrain and Qatar are the biggest underperformers.
  21. Well yes, you can't really cover the whole 30-40km wooded course with cameras. And using roads would be too hard on horses.
