  1. And Sara & Wega are back. No idea why Swedish selectors put her as individual, instead of a team member, but oh well... Similar to putting Emma McNab in the team, instead of Bill Levett. Cross-country is by far Emma's worst phase, so this selection is very anti-Australian.
  2. Severo Jurado's Deep Impact was sadly somewhat irregular today. Special dressage standings at half-way Oatley - 74.605% Ferrer-Salat & Catilla Ruiz (tied) - 74.103% Incredibly, Oatley has been the leader for like the whole afternoon, despite the reverse order start list. She secures her first qualification for freestyle since Sydney 2000!!
  3. From what I understand, the composite teams will be automatically made using the rankings. So, slightly different from before when you just needed to qualify enough individuals.
  4. It's quite possible that both get reallocated to the composite teams in such case, especially since an annex was published which stipulates that at least 3 team members have to complete in order to get the quota. South Africa has two 3* riders at the moment, so they may find the third. India might have a really small chance too. China and Hong Kong shouldn't be able to do anything in this time frame.
  5. 2nd, 3rd, and... 25th???!! Unbelieveable, I feel so sorry for Padraig.
  6. 74.590% for Oatley! Very well done, massive improvement from yesterday.
  7. Belgian dentist (yep, there is some weird connection between equestrians and dentists) Laurence Roos opens the Special with 70.471%.
  8. Phoenix was going towards a great score, but then she got 1.67 average for the first flying change...
  9. Live scoring is dead again. Astier Nicolas opened the second day of eventing dressage with 27.2, and he slots into 3rd place individually.
  10. Cross-country course preview. This combination has ABCDEFG elements, at least for the long route. Also the horses will be jumping up the water falls, possibly for the first time since 1984 Olympics.
  11. Agree 100% on Selena's opinion about eventing here.
  12. Muhlstatter Chioldo Pesek Midili Bertolani These are the qualifiers for individual reining final from the repechage. Uruguay sadly missed out by only 0.5 points.
  13. Standings in eventing after day 1 in dressage... Individual Julia Krajewski & Chipmunk - 19.9 Boyd Martin & Tsetserleg - 27.1 Piggy French & Quarrycrest Echo - 27.8 Boyd & Tsetserleg remained the nicest surprise of the day. Team Germany - 50.10 Australia - 58.40 France - 59.40 And, surprise, surprise, there was a Spanish showman. And o
  14. Yeah, I'm hoping they can make it too. They weren't with their best team here (Daniel Pinto being the major absentee), so there's definitely more in the bag. should be the only safe bet for the Europeans next year, while for the other two quotas there will likely be a bloodbath between , with Austria and Portugal being my picks at the moment.
  15. Graves got 81% and won silver for the hosts. Incredible pressure, as she could have placed her team either 2nd or 4th, considering how close GBR and SWE are... So... Team dressage Germany - 242.950% United States - 233.229% Great Britain - 229.628% Another perfect prediction.
  16. Severo almost blew it on the final pirouette. Still, 74% is enough, so will take the Olympic spots.
  17. Sweden will miss the medal by 0.1% But I never expected them to come this close...
  18. WOW. Sublime. Ridiculous. Close to 85%.
  19. Poor Zimmermann will be a tiny bit out of place in this final session.
  20. Just to put Krajewski's 19.9 into perspective.
  21. Good round for sole Pole Spisak.
  22. Dujardin overscored, nobody saw that one coming.
  23. Looks like everyone up to and including Rikke Svane should be safe to advance to the second round.
