  1. How can Russians be on the bobsled start lists when there are no such start lists yet?
  2. I have started updating the all-time medal tables. In the all-time Grand Final medal table, Canada gained a couple of places, while Serbia climbed to joint 7th. Malta became the 21st nation to obtain a podium finish. Interestingly, Lithuania is still the only nation with exactly one gold medal and nothing else. Ireland is still leading the Team Challenge medal table with 3 gold medals to their name, however Denmark and Tunisia have both climbed to joint 2nd. France now has a full set of medals, and holds a record for most podiums (5 in 6 editions). First team medals for Canada, Czech Republic, Israel, Moldova, meaning that a total of 39 different nations have climbed the podium at this point...
  3. Azerbaijan, Greece, Iran, Tunisia, Turkey. I can remember everyone but Greece being on reserve lists. Never had a chance to award points to .
  4. So you inspired me to make my own spreadsheet for once. 48 nations have scored points.
  5. Honestly, we can say with some certainty that COVID-19 is not necessarily the main reason why someone would vote for A. So maybe there needs to be 2/3 majority for this motion to pass. Burden of proof rests on the new option, not the outstanding one.
  6. Because innovation and ingenuity are two vastly different words?
  7. At one point yesterday he referred to dressage as "run 1" and then said "I guess I am getting ready for the Winter sports season." Anyway, the winner.
  8. It appears a lot of Central/Eastern European anti-establishment flipped in favor of Serbia. Outside of Europe, only Argentina and New Zealand flipped.
  9. Little earthquake on the previous hosting site in Rijeka. Followed by another, stronger, just seconds ago.
  10. Great news! If we only count the legal votes (aka BRA + NZL), then we win ahead of Portugal and France. Now, how do I start a lawsuit in 33 states...
  11. Also Italy. But, generally speaking, non-English songs have no chance of winning. While non-Italian, French, German songs have no chance of a podium finish. There are possibly around 3-4 exceptions in 15 editions.
  12. @heywoodu If you are missing some Tim Singer, apparently he commented today's American eventing championships. https://www.usef.org/network/coverage/2020usefeventing/?cl=b
  13. And finally, I am not the one for big speeches, but congrats first of all to @heywoodu for holding everything together. Even at those times when Slovakia casted ILLEGAL votes. Kudos! Having to correct 30 templates on the day of Grand Final sounds like a nightmare. Congratulations to Serbia and Canada, and of course Malta who belonged to my personal Top 3. Obviously congratulations to all the team medalists as well. Now we have more than 30 nations with various team medals, so the Team Challenge really represents a nice opportunity for a whole new level of fan engagement. As for Croatia, I had no expectations for the first time ever perhaps. I watched H-8 at an outdoor cinema this summer, and when Sretan Put came along, I immediately picked it up for this Open. It was an interesting experience. No idea what to do for the next editions. During Annuals it's both impossible to experiment and impossible to post a decent result (Top 15 - never happened). During Opens it's easier to get better results, but I usually end up not choosing the entries with most potential.
  14. I think it's fair to give the bronze to France, since their combined ranking is 8 (3+5), while Ireland's is 10 (6+4). Anyway, here are the final All-around Rankings for the 2020 season (Annual + Open)... Canada - 316 Serbia - 291 France - 255
