  1. Let's see who can answer this question first: For which nation did the turkish triple jumper compete before he became a turkish citizen? (I knew that i had seen his face before and then i remembered him, because he had a very funny name)
  2. Thanks to Stahl's throw Obergföll will miss Rio 99%, she won silver in London. I am very sad for her, but Stahl is simply amazing and deserves to be in Rio, considering that she hasnt much time to train and still manages to be world-class.
  3. Its a very interesting "coincidence" that all favorites except for the Netherlands had to run in lane 1 or lane 8 ...
  4. In womens javelin throw a girl from Belarus comes out of nowhere and throws a national record ... The good thing about athletes from Belarus is that they always get caught very quick.
  5. Women's shot put: Claudine Vita (born in 1996) - 17.90m Men's high jump: Mateusz Przybylko 2.29m Konstanze Klosterhalfen (born in 1997) sadly missed the 800m standard by 0.05s (2:01.55). She now has the following PB's: 800m: 2:01.55 1500m: 4:06.91 3000m: 8:53.21 (from last year) 10000m: 32:24 (road race out of full training in March) It's gonna be interesting to see what she can do at the junior world championships, where she will compete in womens 1500m and womens 3000m.
  6. Has someone a results link for american trials? I heard some crazy results: Payne out in qualification with 4.25m? Little out in the semifinal? Stowers, Nelvis and Harrison all not qualified? This would be very good news for Roleder ...
  7. She is 33 years old and suddenly runs her fastest time since 6 years, for me thats not a positive thing. Felix and Miller are miles ahead of her, it would be a miracle for her to beat one of them. Then we also have Semenya (if she competes), 2 more american girls, 3 jamaican girls and maybe Ohuruogu. If Semenya competes, then it would be a great result for Grenot to reach the final.
  8. I think she has a shot at reaching the final in Rio, but thats it and i am glad that she wont win a medal.
  9. Yeah, i am sure she is clean now ... Caught once = banned forever would be the only right solution. If you doped once, then you will profit from it forever. I know that you will never understand this, your answer clearly showed that you are not willing/able to discuss like a grown-up, so we could as well just end this now.
  10. Not a great time, but sadly a clear win for Schippers. Pinto clearly underperformed, she had a great chance for a medal here but again had a problem with her nerves.
  11. Great answer ... I dont want to see a caught doper win a medal, but everyone has a different understanding of fair play.
  12. Cheatovic got the job done in the end, like expected. This doesnt really change anything, i doubt that she will keep this medal forever.
  13. Which event? Churandy Martina? Please no, this would mean that the guy from Azerbaijan won gold? German commentator just said that the two kenyan guys competing for Turkey have never been in Turkey ... (not a joke)
  14. What is happening with Perkovic, i think she has never been that bad. On the one hand it would be good to not see her winning gold or even a medal, on the other hand her bad performance is probably the main reason why the level overall is so weak. I think i will cheer for her now, she should throw at least 67.50m.
  15. I am not a fan of Spanovic, but her winning gold would be 1000 times better than Reese or Jar-Jar-Binks winning gold.
  16. I am very disappointed by Mihambo, only 6.65m, she has much more potential, maybe she needs to change her coach.
  17. Its not the same as with Copello but i am in general against nationality changes, they should be forbidden in general. Did Grenot ever compete for Cuba? If not, then everything is ok.
  18. I am glad that Lavillenie paid for his arrogance, but he is still the favorite for Rio. German pole vaulters have been embarrassing, but at least Dilla beat Lavillenie ...
  19. Cuba won 2 golds today, Grenot and Copello. We should call this "open european championships". I am glad that Ohurougo and Williams didnt win a medal, we dont need more medals for athlete who were caught doping.
  20. Level in mens pole vault was shocking. Its sad to remember the good old times with Holzdeppe, Otto and Lavillenie who won the medals at 2012 european championships and 2012 olympics. Holzdeppe might win a medal in Rio if he is even remotely fit. Level in mens 200m was also shocking. Where are Hughes and Gemili and what happened with the british guy who was running sub 20s earlier this year? Another medal for a naturalized turkish athlete. I really wonder why some athlete from Azerbaijan decides to compete for Turkey?
  21. What is the kid with the dreadlocks doing in womens long jump?
  22. Mihambo jumped 6.50m in the first round, although she gave away 52cm!
  23. Womens long jump couldve been very interesting with Moguenara, Proctor, Ugen and Johnson-Thompson, now its a one-man-show.
  24. Yes, Dereli (womens shot put) seems to be really turkish and i think they also have some turkish athletes in their relays.
  25. I think Totallympics should be a good example and should list Copello's gold medal and the medals of Guliyev, Harvey, Can, Kaya and so on as medals of Cuba and so on.
