>67% average in eligible Grand Prix events and a Level 4 judge from a different nation than the rider must give a score of >67% in the same event. To get the full certificate of eligibility the rider/horse pair must do this twice.

Europe has had a relatively good tournament with all five teams avoid having to qualify again which opens up the possibility of Spain and France/Germany qualifying next time. WBSC is obviously trying to get Europe more involved in their quest of Olympic inclusion. The hard part is getting things a bit more competitive in Africa and beyond just South Africa (Nigeria and Uganda have historically been the next best nations). Also getting China back on board as a depth team or getting the Philippines more interested would be very helpful too.

If it came down to it, Japan could qualify two athletes at the World Surfing Games. It was clear that the third quota was made for so it was kind of funny that a different nation got it.

Championship Tour Olympic Quota Simulation (After Three Events) Men Jack Robinson Joao Chianca Filipe Toledo Griffin Colapinto Leonardo Fioravanti Callum Robson John John Florence Rio Waida Jordy Smith Matthew McGillivray Chianca's victory places him as the top ranked Brazilian. Toledo's poor performance has allowed Caio Ibelli to be within striking distance. Callum Robson is now the second Australian thanks to his semifinal appearance. Rio Waida moves up to a safer position and with the mid-season cut-off approaching the race among the non-American/Australian/Brazilian spots is looking to be between five athletes (the four list above plus Igarashi). Women Molly Picklum Carissa Moore Caitlin Simmers Tyler Wright Tatiana Weston-Webb Brisa Hennessy Teresa Bonvalot Johanne Defay Simmers takes the second USA quota from Bryan thanks to her win. Not much more to discuss.

The third event in concluded today. Chianca defeated Robinson in the men's event while in the women's event, Simmers won against Conlogue. Results, including videos can be viewed here.

Good performance from Georgia. Keep an eye on them in water polo and rugby sevens, they may make the jump to top level at some point
