    WOW what a "poor" performance from Li. It's really weird because her time in the 1500 was insane.

    The wtf was about the "killed all opponents" or something like that. I know very well that she stole money. Anyway, the central point is that you used it as some sort of weird argument against giving too much freedom to women, which is ridiculous because there are thousands of examples of male politicians that were many times worse. Gender has nothing to do with being corrupt.

Anyway, I don't accept the premise that "Islam = oppresive regime and lifestyle" as a start but meh, in this forum everyone is a xenophobic right winger lately so I have to follow that logic to discuss this.

    Because people like konig believe that islam is inherently anti-human rights, anti-liberal democracy, western values in general, etc. So they are afraid that muslims end up "conquering" the west via migration. Such people fully believe in the old "clash of civilizations" hypothesis basically.

    Except futsal all those sports have been in many editions. It's 100 times more serious than this "get in 10 new sports which nobody but 2 countries play" you see at asian games. There will not be that much inflation of events, it's mostly in karate, taekwondo and surf which are under represented (number of events wise) at the olympics anyway.

    That is the one point where pan american games are still much more serious than this: all the olympic events are respected and regional sports are just a handful and consistently featured (host nation can't insert or remove stuff at will).

    Italy was silver in last youth wch of beach handball while futsal will have a pretty strong field, so even winning any medal would be difficult. The election makes sense.

    I'm puzzled, how can a country with the weather of Norway be good at beach volleyball but suck at indoor?

    Japan is qualified but if they win the quota doesn't go to 2nd place, it's added to world qualifiers.

    Medal table is not interesting to guess because there are several joke sports played in just 2 countries and they distort everything but anyway: chn, jpn, kor, kaz, tha, uzb, iri, ind, ina, tpe My favorite sports will be all which give olympic quota and kabaddi, because it's awesome I support

    The u20 championship of next year won't be the qualification event for conmebol. A special u23 competition to be played in Colombia in 2020 will award the quotas for OG.

    There were separate threads at 2015 pan am if i remember well. It's just that we used the main thread to comment a lot (but mostly about the progress of medal table).

    Is there any point in having two different discussion threads for each team sport in multi-sport events that aren't the olympics? I mean, how many posts you will see about women's or men's [insert team sport] at the asian games?

    Our girl in single scull made a junior record time in the semis but today lost the gold by less than a second Anyway, all good results are more than welcome in this sport which is dying here.

    Maybe because in Poland the athletics "market" is less saturated and they could earn more money from sponsorship if they do well? (I mean, France and Germany have dozens of great athletes fighting over sponsors and funding). It also doesn't seem like a bad country to live in at all.

    Lol a lot of people got perfect score in womens kite and we probably all did the same: search the World Ranking and just give medals to 1, 2 & 3 as they were there
