In preparation for LA 2028, today is the first UIPM world championship to adapt obstacles as the 5th sport. personally I like MP the most and I found it interesting sport with multi abilities techniques . Also I was hoping equestrian to continue, this discipline sometimes not fair but as an audience it give me the thriller of no one can guarantee his/her position before and after it. But still fair enough for athletes to have a discipline which you can perform with consistency. Looking forward to seeing the first W Ch (U17) with Obstacle discipline involved.

Presumably the selection of new sports for LA 2028 will be in IOC session 141st (140th IOC session has been done virtually 2-3 weeks ago). Any idea what would be the proposed date of the new session and is it still to be held in Mumbai?

Hilarious, teams most likely to finish last are celebrating now while the top teams are still preparing and training to do their best to compete and qualify. But still fair for Africa and Oceania to have representative anyway, without continuous participation they will never improve. Thanks for the info 😊

if the qualified team will be allowed to qualify Duo too, that means Egypt already qualified for both teams and duo events and S. Africa qualified its athletes in duo without even competing. similarly both New Zealand and Australia qualified in duo event and one of them will qualify its team (this is the only who would qualify question) am I right to assume so?

Brilliant performance in U21 Euro after beating the strong side Spain 1/0 was wishing to see those lads in olympics but great team and hopefully we would have stronger tam after some players with our national teams hard luck to Spain

Exactly they have high potential to get the spot now.. but not guaranteed though I am expecting they will finish the ranking between 13-18th depending on their performance in the world championship and other World Cup competitions

The idea is: Foil - Yara Elsharkawy can qualify as the top African athlete Sabre – Sawsan Bodiaf (Algeria) will qualify as top African athlete and that will make it easy for Nada Hafez to qualify from zone qualification While Epee, the top athlete would be Alexandra Ndolo (who switched nationality from Germany to Kenya) and the zone qualification is not guaranteed and several athletes from Morocco and Algeria are more favourable, therefore Egypt relies on team qualification I can see their point but feeling sad for other athletes in other weapons as this decision killing their dream. But also would be a very good chance for Germany or Hungary to qualify (or maybe other nation).

Absolutely right, in the latest world cup series Elodie consistently had good score in fencing and swimming and despite the fact that Equestrian can’t be predicted but recently she is struggling a lot in laser run and dropped few positions each time. In men competition you have three good candidates to qualify, Valentin Belaud, Chris Pattee and Pierre Dejardin, hopefully would be easy to catch one of the ranking slots Also I am expecting more allocation to ranking slots as some of already qualified athletes will end up in the top three positions in 2023 WCH and 2024 WCH Good luck for them mate 😊

The men individual Epee ranking is a bit strange for me, I feel extra points have been added to Alex Bardenet (france) 3rd in your ranking.. and Ruben Limardo (ven) 4th any explanation please?
