  1. Possible Reallocations for Canoeing: Canoeing slalom: K1: C1: C2: K1W: (likely to decline, in that case ) Canoe sprint: K1 200: K1 1000: K2 200: K2 1000: K4 1000: (+1 quota) C1 200: C1 1000: (Canada would get this quota, but they qualified already, which is unfair for C1 200, as if Canada qualified here then they would have qualified the boat at the Continental qualifier, not sure what will happen here lol) C2 1000: K1W 200: K1W 500:
  2. Lol world selects are doing well#!
  3. I like all 3, much improved from Sochi.
  4. When two (2) players are tied in the same group, the winner of the match between them will be ranked higher. If three (3) players are tied within a group, their positions will be determined by the difference between games won and games lost. If three (3) players are still tied after this has been taken into account, their positions will be determined by the difference between total points won and total points lost. If, after one (1) or more of these tiebreakers, only two (2) players are tied, the winner of the match between them will qualify. If, after both tiebreakers, all three (3) players are still tied, their positions will be then determined by drawing lots. Source
  5. I don;t think so. The countries where rights are held will most certainly be geoblocked.
  6. I think what they are saying is they will compete as qualified, and since Kuwait is eligible to get invitations for swimming, they are "qualified"
  7. Rosie MacLennan (Trampoline) Edit: I can say I have met a flagbearer now lol!
  8. Swatch Major Series ‏@SwatchMajors 4m4 minutes ago .@swatch Beach Volleyball FIVB World Tour Finals 2016 to take place in Toronto!
  9. Now that the entry lists are out, who are the favourites for the medals?
  10. Kenya's best swimmer was not allowed to compete because she didn't compete in Kazan, while two wild cards are allowed (from Myanmar and Haiti) even though they didn't compete in Kazan. Double standards
  11. Who are your faves for medals? Dark horses? For all three disciplines.
  12. What a joke... I S2g such a pissoff. If she withdraws Dabrowski is out too..... which would be unfair to her. They are to going to meet in Montreal next week so hopefully she talks her into going.
  13. No idea... But Kazakhstan is next in the world ranking...but since he withdrew after entries closes maybe another Canadian will replace him?
  14. Canada is down to 312 after Judoka Arthur Margelidon withdrew from injury
  15. One swimmer from Canada (Jason Block) is missing
  16. Their Judoka qualified.
  17. Arthur Margdelion has withdrawn... due to a broken leg... Idk who the replacement is.
  18. Decision delayed to the weekend.
  19. It is guaranteed Tokyo unfortunately.
  20. They tested the samples themselves!!
  21. Key points: The Moscow Laboratory operated a state-dictated system for doped athletes, that the Sochi lab operated a sample-swapping methodology to allow Russian athletes to dope at the 2014 Winter Olympics, and that the Ministry of Sport oversaw the process, with participation from the Russian security service. McLaren: “the system was set up following the 2010 Olympics, and was in place until 2014. It allowed the transformation of a positive result to a negative one, overseen by the Deputy Minister of Sport. The Ministry of Sport, Rusada and the FSB were involved in this process”. McLaren confirms that positive tests “in every sports discipline” were passed to the Deputy Minister of Sport, Yuri Nagornykh. McLaren adds that Nagornykh “decided who would benefit from a cover up and who would not be protected.” McLaren also says Russia manipulated samples during 2013 world athletics and 2015 world swimming championships. McLaren says that the investigation has proved “beyond a reasonable doubt” that this took place, assisted by the FSB, the Russian federal security service. McLaren adds that evidence of tampering on the inside of bottle caps was present in all samples tested. McLaren has said that the report’s key findings have been proven “beyond a reasonable doubt”, and that the evidence is “verifiable”. “I have unwavering confidence in the report”, he adds. "Russian athletes from the vast majority of summer and winter Olympic sports benefited from the Disappearing Positive Methodology" (Via Rob at GB)
