  1. The 8.20 was a mistake. It was actually 7.20. The ppl at the event had an error in input.
  2. Not sure of Smith (he is listed on Athletics Canada's rankings), but Cliff was yesterday.
  3. Men's Long Jump Aubry Smith 8.16 Women's 5000m Rachel Cliff - 15:23.94
  4. Canada (first 3) Isabela Onyshko Ellie Black Brittany Rogers The rest will be announced tomorrow.

  6. Rio 2016 ‏@Rio2016_en 25m25 minutes ago TODAY: #Rugby7s Pool Announcement for #Rio2016 Olympic Games 3pm (Brazilian time)
  7. Tristan Thompson will play for Canada in the qualifying tournament.
  8. Alternates are not given medals...
  9. $10 Qatar's team is made up of Brazilians or someone born outside the country. ---- Canada vs Cuba for the men's quota from NORCECA
  10. You are right. You can only exchange a maximum of one.
  11. Both facebook/Instagram pages of the athletes who qualified the original quota confirmed this. Idk about 49er...
  12. Canada also declined men's RS:X quota. Who is next in line? This decision seems strange, but in Canada results speak. If you send an athlete and they finish so low, your funding will suffer. In events with less boats, the athletes have a chance of placing in top 20. For ex. finishing 19/20 in an event is better than 37/50 (even though you were much further away from last).
  13. I honestly hope after 2020 this sport is dropped from the Olympics. With 120 quotas you can add squash and make baseball and softball at 8 teams each...
  14. Canada received an additional quota in the men's platform. Still awaiting news for the men's springboard.
  15. Nepal: Men's archery + Men's Judo Bangladesh: Women's archery
  16. Maybe he fell out of the top 15? Or he failed a doping test. Who knows lol
  17. And Greece got a men's spot (even though their athlete is in the top 15 ?) This also removes a lot of wild card countries and also increases the chances the chances of countries like Bangladesh to get one.
  18. Africa: KEN (M) / MAR (W) MRI (W) Asia: QAT (M) SRI (M) / IRQ (W) UAE (W) Europe: GRE (M) ISR (M) / FIN (W) LAT (W) SWE (W) Oceania: NRU (M) / SOL (W) Pan-America: CHI (M) GUA (M) / ARG (W) PER (W) URU (W) These are the countries receiving reallocated quotas (via the IWF)
  19. " If the NOC qualified through the 2014 and 2015 IWF World Championships, the quota place will be reallocated to the best ranked NOC at the 2014 and 2015 IWF World Championships, not yet qualified." - So we are looking at: Men: +1 Israel Austria Belgium Nauru Libya Mongolia +2 more (as more than 2 are tied on 0 points).
  20. Yea, the BWF wrote not eligible beside his name (then updated it ). http://system.bwfbadminton.com/uploads/2016/06/21/Olympic qualifiers from WR 05-05-16 - 21 June phase 3 MS updated.pdf
